Our driver, Luis, was great and we enjoyed the views, but unless you're visiting when there is very little traffic, pick another tour. Traffic to/from Pena Palace, all around Sintra and Cascais is extremely congested giving you very little time to explore Sintra or the palace. If your set on visiting these areas I would recommend a full day trip to see 2 sites only. I'd recommend Luis, but on a different tour.
When I saw the driver, Amerigo, and his big black Mercedes van, I knew we were going to have a good time. The 3 of us had plenty of space. The trip was fun. Because of high winds, they closed the castle, but we enjoyed every other stop. I highly recommend this tour.
Americo provided us with a very entertaining and informative tour of Sintra and Cascais in a very nice van. His knowledge of the area, plus his helpful advice for a hungover member of our party based on his experience working in a bar, made this an unforgettable half-day for all of us. Highly recommended.
What started as a half-day tour of Sintra and Cascais turned into a whole, unforgettable day. Americo was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible from the start. Despite nonstop rain, he helped us adjust the itinerary seamlessly and made fantastic suggestions that worked perfectly with the weather. Instead of cutting the tour short, we ended up adding several more hours because we were having such a great time. Under circumstances where most tours would feel compromised, Americo turned it into the best tour we’ve ever had. Highly recommend—rain or shine! .
We really enjoy this trip . Our guide ( Americo ) was amazing he made this trip even more fun with his great experience and information Thank you for this amazing trip and guide
Friendly knowledgeable driver. Helped with my walker and shared some personal facts like a friend. Great trip
Booked a last minute tour to see the palace and our tour guide America made it happen. We had a beautiful Day. Great day!
Our tour guide was terrible. He provided no information to us to help us guide our experience or provide any information about the places we visited. The tour was advertised as customizable but our guide pretty much just decided what we were going to do and was not helpful. Additionally, we asked for an English speaking guide and our guide was definitely not close to fluent and we had lots of challenges communicating with him. I would not recommend this tour. We may as well have taken public transport to Sintra for the day and saved hundreds of dollars.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We take all feedback seriously and, even when we may not fully understand or agree with a particular impression, we always seek to learn from it and improve in the future. Please allow us to clarify that our tours are indeed customizable. In this case, since you already held tickets for the Pena Palace and the tour was limited to four hours, it was natural to focus on the most emblematic landmarks, as was explained in advance. We also recognize that the temporary road closure near Cascais Bay may have caused the feeling of missing out on such a beautiful part of the region. Unfortunately, this situation was completely beyond our control, but the tour was compensated not only with almost an additional hour of duration, but also with an alternative route along the scenic coastal road, so that you could still enjoy the beauty of the shoreline. In addition, we gladly accommodated your request for a different drop-off location. For these reasons, we find your evaluation somewhat disproportionate to the experience delivered, though we fully respect your opinion. With a four-hour tour, the scope is naturally limited, yet additional time and effort were provided to maximize your visit. Finally, we must also express our surprise regarding your subsequent refund request, based on the claim that the driver did not show up and the tour never took place—something that clearly does not correspond to the reality of the service provided. We sincerely hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future, so we may demonstrate the professionalism and care that so many of our travelers have kindly acknowledged. Kind regards, Seconds and Minutes
Americo was an amazing guide for the day! He was very resourceful in making a perfect day despite Sintra being closed due to fire threats. We made a great stop for breakfast before exploring Sintra and Cabo da Roca. We added on a couple hours to experience an amazing seafood lunch on the beach (highly recommended) then spending some time at the beach in cascais. Recommend for anyone who wants a personalized experience for the family.
A great way to see Sintra and Cascais when you are short on time. We were able to walk around and have some pastries and ice cream and shop. We learned a lot about the history too!
