ZAGORI - Un gruppo di 46 villaggi di pietra, dove la pietra locale è stata trasformata in meravigliosi edifici e strade. Costruito tra i ripidi pendii delle montagne calcaree e i profondi canyon fluviali che li circondano, si fondono armoniosamente con loro. Iniziamo il nostro tour guidato giornaliero dalla pittoresca valle dell'ovest Zagori, passando per Aristi, ammirando nel frattempo il paesaggio in evoluzione. Ci fermiamo al fiume Voidomatis, uno dei fiumi più puliti d'Europa, dove puoi immergerti nelle sue gelide acque fredde, se lo desideri, e poi scalare verso i villaggi di Papigo. Visitiamo Ovires Rogovo, piscine naturali in uno stretto canyon e poi il villaggio di Mikro Papigo. Quindi torniamo per attraversare 1.090 m. passare per raggiungere il centro di Zagori per avere una magnifica vista sul Vikos Canyon nel suo punto più profondo (quasi un chilometro). Lì abbiamo un piccolo spuntino con torte tradizionali (come torte di spinaci, frutta di stagione e dolci locali e proseguiamo visitando Dilofo, un villaggio al centro di Zagori.

A great experience! Our guide Alexis knows these mountains, villages, and roads by heart! He had planned everything, even umbrellas because rain was forecast in the afternoon. He was also attentive to our visit requests and answered our questions as best as possible! This guided tour of the Zagoria was really a plus for us (private tour for two people): Alexis told us historical anecdotes, but also architectural ones and those relating to daily life in these villages, which really enriched the visit and our discovery of the places! I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience. Giorgos was my guide and though the Zagori in itself is spectacular, he made the experience even better: the passion he has for his region is infectious and he has a wide knowledge on many facets of the area. The scenery is awesome in the traditional sense of the word. The entire setting is bucolic. The local history has a romanticism about it. This trip offers a taste of the region and for me, it only makes me want to return to explore it further.

Excellent opportunity to see the historic bridges, towns, buildings and the Gorge. History and geology combined in a wonderful all day tour.

A full day of touring the mountains, rivers, villages - amazing, guided by Alexis. He was very informative and knowledgeable of all the areas. The nature and locality were just mesmerizing, even the roads views.

We arrived early to meet with our guide and to our surprise we were the only ones on the tour! What a wonderful start to the day. Alexios, our guide, made sure our stuff was stowed safely and then he asked if we'd like water or a snack. This thoughtfulness was carried on throughout the entire day. We saw a lot of places during our visit through West and Central Zagori: magical villages, each a little different, stunning bridges and breathtaking landscape! We stopped at a Taverna to try the local fried cheese and Tsipouro (at our cost) and for lunch he supplied the local spanakopita, water and a small sweet. Alexios was so knowledgeable about the area and his enthusiasm was infectious. He lives for this job! He made our day a memorable one and we saw and tried things that we may not have attempted (or known about) on our own. Totally Recommend
Our guide was great. He had a huge amount of knowledge, which he was happy to share with us. We would definitely recommend the tour!

An wonderful tour in a Holy Day on the Holy Week before the Orthodox Easter. With a very knowledgeable guide, who loves the region and who showed us some hidden gems from the area...who wants more? Even Dimitris loves canyoning, you may consider yourself lucky if you will have him as guide for a tour in the region of Zagori.

10 out of 10 tour that includes EVERYTHING in Zagori! We had the BEST tour guide that was so knowledgeable of the land and history.
