This was a pleasant, nice and educational experience. Can definitely be recommended to anyone who wants to learn a bit about Catania and Sicilian cooking. Great and simple ingredients that resulted in an amazing taste.

A great experience. A really enjoyable cooking class with a visit to the Fish Market. Alessandra was an informative guide who shared Catania’s history along the way, and a patient teacher.

What a wonderful experience! Alessandra began our day with a walk to the fish market and along the way she pointed out important historical features and shared the history of Catania. Once at the fish market, she purchased our ingredients and then we headed back to begin cooking. While we were cooking, we listened to Italian music as we learned important details of the food of Sicily. Our day ended with eating the delicious appetizer, main course and dessert. Alessandra was a fantastic tour guide and teacher and such a sweet person. ❤️ We took our cooking class on our last day in Catania, and I can't think of a better way to complete this amazing trip to Sicily. ❤️
This was a wonderful class. I went with my daughter and we both loved it. The walk through the fish market was incredible!
This experience wasn’t bad but also wasn’t great. We enjoyed the little tour of the city and the activity of making pasta. The table could have been bigger and didn’t love the restaurant setting. The worst part about his experience is that once we were served lunch our guide left. This left the restaurant staff who was inattentive to finish with us. We asked multiple times for glasses of wine and were not served . We ended up leaving without our dessert after asking for it for over 20 min. They also changed the time for our class this left us with less time to explore the city which we were looking forward too. Overall this is a fine activity. I probably wouldn’t recommend this specific one to someone.

It’s not a cooking class we didn’t cook anything which was so disappointing. We made pasta, cut up eggplant, tomato’s and onions and then it was all taken away and cooked elsewhere while we sat in the restaurant. It was also very apparent when we arrived the restaurant they were not expecting us. The tour guide was our “qualified chef” whilst she was very nice doubt she was a chef. Waste of time and money I still have no idea how to actually cook the meal we had. I was expecting to be in the kitchen with the chef to learn and see how our traditional Sicilian meal was cooked. No recipes was provided and we didn’t even get to know what the quantities were in the bowl for the flour etc to make the pasta. The market tour was interesting but we wanted a cooking class. Wouldn’t recommend if you want the full experience. So disappointed we were so looking forward to this experience.

For safety and insurance reasons, our cooking experiences are structured to be hands-on preparation classes, where guests do not take part in the actual cooking over heat. As you correctly mentioned, you were able to learn how to make fresh pasta and prepare the vegetables for the sauce, which are the core parts of the traditional method we teach. The final cooking is handled by our team to ensure safety in a dynamic kitchen environment. We are truly sorry to hear that the restaurant seemed unprepared and that recipes were not provided. This is not our standard procedure, and we will immediately address these issues with our partners to ensure a smoother experience for future guests. We also want to clarify that our guides are selected for their deep knowledge of Sicilian traditions and their culinary skills, providing a holistic cultural experience.
Our guide/chef Alexandra was a great host. We enjoyed the walk through the old city centre to the market. We had lots of fun cooking our dishes, a great activity completed by 3 generations.
