We recently visited Dominica on a cruise and booked the Shoreside Fun Day. Right from the start they were super helpful as I initially booked the tour for the wrong date. Every stop on the tour was so much fun and the island itself is just beautiful! To top off this awesome day, they assisted our son with his proposal to his girlfriend at a beautiful overlook on the island. I cannot say enough how amazing our guides were! The day could not have been any better! One our family will never forget! I 100% recommend them for your day in Dominica!
This excursion was the best one I've gone on so far. They clearly stated meet up point. Snorkeling was guided and got to see a variety of fish. The guide brought us over to the champagne reef and pointed out unique characteristics. Got to shower off afterward with a fresh water spring. Lunch was delicious and we were given options regarding what we wanted to eat. The Titou Gorge was interesting to see but a little crowded with many other groups there too. The waterfall hike was okay. Easy hike with small elevation, some stairs (with handrails) and restrooms available. Ended the tour with a swim in hot springs with a locally made rum punch and mud mask. Throughout the day our guide did a wonderful job pointing out the local, historical and touristy things the island has to offer. He was very personable, easy to understand and included tidbits of information rather than boring us with a history lesson. We were supplied with lunch, water / soda, local plantain snack, beer and the rum punch throughout the day.
Waitukubuli Adventure Tours exceeded our expectations on this tour. We booked this tour independently as an excursion while in port for a cruise stop. Representatives from Waitukubuli met us at the port, they all had on matching shirts and were extremely easy to spot. We had Adin and Charlotte as our guides and they were fantastic. Adin was the driver and Charlotte handled a lot of the logistics. In addition to taking us to the designated places on the itinerary, they provided a ton of very interesting facts about the island as we went along. They explained island history, architecture, showed us different flora and fauna. They even introduced us to Bouyon, a type of music that is unique in Dominica. The spots we stopped at: Champagne Reef, Titou Gorge, the hot springs, and waterfall were great but Adin and Charlotte made it a fantastic experience!!
We were on a cruise...the company picked us up from the port on time and everyone was so professional and showed us such hospitality the whole trip. There were 8 of us and three were children. Our first stop was snorkeling and I was a little Apprehensive I do not swim, the guide was so patient stayed with me until i felt comfortable. All 3 guideswere full of stories and information. Our second stop was the gorge again they made sure everyone felt comfortable at the waterfall and getting us to the falls. on the bus they told stories played music made it super fun and interesting, Third stop was gardens we had lunch it was included food was hot and good.4th stop was hot springs several pools with warm water super interesting. This is a full day and we luved evey min of it..I especially would like this company to recognize the three gentlemen who made our visit to your island memorable. I cant recall there names but I do Remember driver was Mike and he did beautiful at driving on them narrow roads .please thank them all 3 for repersenting there Island with pride dignity and extreme hospitality!!
Today was another jampacked day. Our day started at 8:30 in the morning. We met our tour guide just outside the pier and he took us on a full day excursion. We started over on the south side of the island where we swam. It felt like almost a mile to the Champagne reef that was full of colorful fish. The bubbles came from the gases of the volcanoes. They had nine active volcanoes on the island of the 12 and the Caribbean. I took some GoPro footage of this. That was a very cool experience. We towards the end, caught some currents that was trying to push us down into the ocean, but because I had flippers, I was able to push us back into where we needed to be at . After that, we grabbed some lunch and went to the botanical garden where there was a fast growing bamboo circle where you can carve your name into one of them and that symbolizes a long, successful everlasting love of course I picked the green one in our name into it and then we took a picture in front of it we then got back on the bus and he took us over to titou gorge this was a refreshing gorge that they filmed the Pirates of the Caribbean. The scene where Jack sparrow was captured by villagers and Orlando Bloom, Mr. Gibbs, the guy with the eye and the guy that says hello puppet was hiding in the gorge from the villagers. It was a very cool experience I was able to go to the top of the gorge and jump in I would probably say about 7 to 10 feet above and jump straight down and the water was so deep and clear it was really cool. We then swam to the other end of the gorge where there was a nice waterfall where Sarah and I climbed over some rocks and got to touch the waterfall. Our next stop was trigar falls where we were able to just look at it from a distance. You can swim close by the Falls, but we ended up not doing that because we had to make a stop over at the Sulphur Springs. What I think was a very cool experience it smelled a little bit. It didn’t bother me. It didn’t bother Sarah either, but you have to be open. Minded to a sulfur smell. We spent about a half an hour in the Sulphur pool and then we got back to port an hour early. Where we were able to grab some Dominican coffee.
Adin was amazing. Picked us up from our hotel and showed the most amazing sites. We saw so much while snorkeling, then headed to Titou Gorge, which was beyond beautiful. Next we head to my favorite place Trafalgar Falls, lastly we warmed up with volcanic masks at the sulfur baths. 10/10 recommend this company and your when you are in Dominica
THis is reassuring ..thank you
We had an absolutely glorious day on this family-friendly tour! From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully organized. Pickup and drop-off from our accommodation made things easy, and the guide Adin was a true highlight — experienced, funny, and endlessly accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, whether it was stopping for photos, educating us about the island, or even playing some great hits during the drive. 🍴 Food & Drinks Lunches and beverages were included, keeping us refreshed throughout the day. The all-day water experience was wonderful, though as I'm not a strong -swimmer I chose to sit out of the snorkeling — and still had a fantastic time. 📸 Activities & Highlights Plenty of photo stops Informative island commentary Relaxed atmosphere with music Finished off at the sulphur springs, complete with rum punch — the perfect ending! 💡 Tip for Travelers Confirm your pickup location and time at least 48 hours before the tour to avoid any hiccups. ⭐ Overall Impression Highly recommended for families or anyone wanting a mix of fun, relaxation, and cultural insight. Adin made the day unforgettable, and I’ll definitely be back.
This is possibly the best excursion my wife and I have ever been on. Hubert and Leonard were tremendous guides who were very knowledgeable and friendly. Great people who made sure everybody was comfortable and had a great day. The sheer amount of things on this excursion for the money we paid was incredible. The almost seven hours went by quickly and a great lunch was served along with drinks including outstanding Kubuli beer. Book with this company as soon as you can.
Well that was great fun! turned out to be a private tour, just us and Hubert! Quite the guide and story-teller. Stories and history galore! Obviously loves what he does and transfers that to you, amazing. As there were just the 3 of us quite a lot of personal info was exchanged too. Funny thing was a couple of days later we did another trip with Waitukubuli and our guide was Hubert's better half! As said a great day, every now and then a slight shower but didn't dampen the spirits. Snorkeling at Champagne Reef, via fresh water well, Botanic garden, Totou Groge (rainfall had increased the waterflow so only 1 of us made it halfway), local lunch, on to the Trafalger Falls and ended up in the hot springs. Was really a great daytrip, saw a great deal off the area and met a couple of incredible people!
It was THE MOST fun!!! It is definitely a good time! No worries to get back to cruise in time bc they had us back in plenty of time!
