Ci fermeremo per una delle opportunità fotografiche più impressionanti in Irlanda, il magnifico Castello di Dunluce. Parte di questa impressionante rovina si sbriciolò nel mare nel 1600. Questo castello è collegato alla terraferma da un ponte e un tempo era la roccaforte del clan McDonnell. Lo sfondo dell'oceano e della costa nord rendono questa tappa fotografica davvero spettacolare!
Dedichiamo ampio tempo al Giant's Causeway per scendere a visitare questo famoso sito del patrimonio mondiale. Si trova a 20 minuti a piedi dal punto Drop Off al fantastico sito di Causeway, ma c'è un bus navetta che opera a tariffa unica, ideale per chi non è comodo camminare su e giù per la ripida salita (collina) fino alla Causeway. Le rocce esagonali di basalto sembrano davvero simili a quelle fatte dall'uomo e questo porta il popolo irlandese a credere di essere stato scelto dal più famoso Giant Warrior d'Irlanda: il grande Finn MacCoole. C'è anche un suggerimento che potrebbero essere stati formati dall'attività vulcanica 60 milioni di anni fa. Castello di Dunluce: Photo Stop.

3 of 5 Viator trips I booked they did not have my reservation- of course I had the proof tho. For the Giants Causeway/Belfast tour I booked a small group tour in a van. They put us on a busy bus. We got to the Causeway and had limited time there due being delayed at 2 tire shops to repair a tire that blew out on the highway. We didn't get any tour of Belfast or were we able to stroll & shop in Belfast. I asked for a partial refund but it was denied twice. Also had to do a lot of work to make the other tours happen. Directions were not always clear. Make sure to keep the emails & phone numbers accessible of who to contact if there is a problem with your tour. We needed them twice!
We were picked up at the cruise ship port and Sean was our driver guide. Only 11 people on our tour on a small bus. The drive thru the country side was nice and the beaches spectacular. The Giant causeway was great to see. We took Sean’s advice to take the shuttle bus down there and he was right about that. More time spent at the shore vs walking with the crowds. A music festival was happening in Belfast. Some people opted to stay there for a couple of hours and some of us returned to the ship. All in all a great day with Paddywagon tours in Belfast, with Sean the retired policeman!
Paddywagon Tours has canceled almost all of our booked excursions. The only excursion that was not canceled was catastrophically bad and deficient (was reviewed separately). This time, contrary to Tripadvisor's guidelines, it was canceled again only 12 hours before the tour. The tour was not profitable for the operator-as they let us know in writing. The operator has already done this 4 times during our cruise. Finding a replacement on such short notice is almost always hopeless. I can therefore only advise against booking any excursions or tours with PADDYWAGON TOURS.
James did a fantastic job on the small group tour. As time aloud, we stopped at places rather than just doing a drive-by. Other travelers should know in advance that it’s cold down there. Wear long pants and a jacket.
Great tour! Our guide, James, good! Smaller Van, like 15 people capacity, but only 7 of us on tour. James customized. Giants Causeway phenomenal! A must do.
The locals were magnificent; however, the guide was a bit inexperienced. He was competent as a driver however he did not come across as overly knowledgeable. He was personable but needs to share history and culture of the region with patrons.
There were just 8 of us on this tour to she remnants of a volcanic eruption (or a temper tantrum of Finn McCools) and it was amazing to see the rocky seashore. Our driver Michael (Mick) was awesome and showed us multiple places including the Glen Nevis rope bridge and the Titanic building site. We stopped for lunch at the Fullerton Arms which was excellent.
The tour operator did not communicate with us on who would be picking us up. The driver did not have any signs and the name of the company on the van was different than the one on the booking. The guide did not make any effort to find the people on this tour. We had to ask other tour operators to help us. A call to the tour company was not answered so they were no help. Also the tour guide rushed us through the stops so we arrived back at our ship way before we needed to. The things we saw were very interesting although our guide/driver did not give us any information about what we were seeing. I can recommend the itinerary but not the tour company!
Very informative guide. A little too much about the giants, but enjoyed the rest. Incredibly beautiful place. Definitely go if u have the chance.
This excursion is ideal if you want to see a little of off the beat and path for example the causeway and the hedges and have some time to see the town center of belfast
