Very nice aquarium. Was rather small , but I loved that it included the VR experience. Also , this was the most active octopus I have ever
Just an average experience which lasted a little over 30 minutes. Price per ticket was a bit high in my opinion.
That at the end of the aquarium tour there is a 4d movie experience awaiting in another area. I was reminded by chance at the souvenir counter
Been here before when I was a kid and was interesting to see it again. There are some new additions, but overall the same layout. Probably better with kids and a bit of time.
It was really cool - I’d definitely recommend going. Lots of other wildlife besides sharks, had an opportunity to pet a manta ray which was cool. Took lots of photos some of which I’ll share here.
Aquarium is set up nice, most is down a slope. They did have 1 wheelchair that my wife was able to use. Had to put it's brakes on at times so she wouldn't roll. From where you enter where Uber drops you off is a ways to go until you reach Aquarium. Not easy if a mobility device is needed and don't have your personal one. Can see everything in about a hour.
Not anywhere near value for money. It is cool to use 4 minutes to watch the , not very big, sharks,it is one of the smallest and most expensive acvariums i have ever seen
Though this wasn't perhaps as large an aquarium as I had expected, it was still very enjoyable to see the various species and the sharks didn't disappoint. There are some good viewing points and tunnels plus the option to touch a stingray. Great especially for younger visitors. Worth an hour or two of your time
Great experience! Virtual reality show was awesome. No complaints at all! Loved every minute of it!!
I am extremely disappointed with our recent visit to Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. We paid over $100 for four tickets (2 adults and 2 children), expecting a meaningful and enjoyable experience, especially for our 7-year-old son who is autistic and had been very excited about the visit. Unfortunately, the entire experience lasted less than 10 minutes. Before we knew it, we had reached the end and were not allowed to re-enter to take more time, settle, or properly enjoy the exhibits. I explained our situation to the staff, hoping for a bit of understanding given my son’s needs, but there was no flexibility or accommodation offered. This was incredibly distressing. My son could not understand why we had to leave so quickly after being so excited, and I had to physically drag him out while he was overwhelmed and upset. It turned what should have been a positive family outing into a very difficult situation. While I am fortunate enough to be able to afford additional tickets, I refused to repurchase entry on principle. This is not how customers—especially families with special needs children—should be treated. If these are your strict internal policies, they need to be clearly communicated beforehand so families can make informed decisions. Overall, this felt like very poor value for money and an extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend it, especially for families who may need a bit more time and flexibility.
