L'acquario naturale Blue Lagoon prende il nome dall'omonimo film interpretato da Brooke Shields, un classico del cinema degli anni '80. Le sue acque turchesi, i pesci multicolori e la sua bellezza cinematografica ne fanno uno dei luoghi più visitati e contemplati della baia di Ilha Grande. L'immensa piscina è un santuario della vita marina dall'incredibile biodiversità. Galleggiando sotto i suoi giardini di corallo, i visitatori sono ben presto circondati da banchi colorati, poco avvezzi alle offerte dei turisti.
Spiaggia di Flechas: A Praia das Flechas, la generosa vegetazione circostante fa sì che il verde smeraldo della Foresta Atlantica si rifletta nel mare che bagna questa spiaggia. Con la sua lunga distesa di sabbia, Praia das Flechas è perfetta sia per chi ama la pace e la tranquillità sia per chi ama la confusione, soprattutto nei fine settimana di sole, quando il luogo si riempie di gente. Sede del primo ristorante di Gipóia, il tradizionalissimo Bar do Luiz, le sue sabbie permettono di fare facilmente una passeggiata dopo pranzo senza perdere di vista l'imponente Ilha Grande e il via vai di motoscafi che circolano nella baia. Il luogo dispone anche di un'infrastruttura gastronomica e di alloggi.
La spiaggia di Grumixama è una delle tappe sul lato di Ilha Grande dell'isola. La spiaggia di Grumixama è piccola ma affascinante, con sabbie chiare e una ricca vegetazione della Foresta Atlantica. Considerato uno dei rifugi della regione perché poco frequentato, è il luogo ideale per rilassarsi in un delizioso bagno di mare. Ha un buon tratto di sabbia e acque calme e trasparenti. Adatto agli sport acquatici come lo snorkeling e le immersioni, è circondato da una grande quantità di verde. L'ambiente tranquillo è ideale per gli amanti della natura, ideale per leggere o ammirare gli splendidi tramonti che si possono ammirare da qui.
L'isola è uno dei tesori di Angra dos Reis. La sua sorprendente bellezza naturale vanta acque calme e cristalline di un blu turchese mozzafiato. Perfetto per nuotare, fare snorkeling e osservare la vita marina. La sua sabbia bianca e fine è ideale per rilassarsi e prendere il sole. La vegetazione forestale autoctona preservata crea un ambiente esuberante e invitante.

This is my second time taking a speed boat in Angra to visit some of the more secluded beaches and locations like botinhas, only accessible through a boat. The woman that met us at the pier was sweet and made the onboarding process easy. However the boat was a different story. In comparison to my previous speed boat trip, this entire adventure was rushed, and very little care was given in taking us to locations to enjoy ourselves. Our first stop for 45 minutes was nice. After that, we loaded up on the boat and went to a new location. The water was beautiful and blue, but the guide said it was dirty and said he would take us to a different spot. The spot we arrived at had trash floating everywhere in the water, but I got out of the boat anyways and walked the distance of the beach. Getting back to the boat I noticed the guide was occupied with his phone, so I asked if there was a cleaner beach we could go to, as there was trash floating everywhere here. He simply said “yes”. After that, we parked in Lagoa azul, left , then docked somewhere else for lunch. That was pretty much the entire trip highlight. A major disappointment and certainly not worth the 400 reais I paid prior to the 100 reai tax at the central station.

Worse would have been like, we only went to the first stop. Because, according to Marcel, who was driving the boat, Viva Angra, the wind was very strong. We boarded and went to the next island, on this itinerary some things went very wrong, we moved at a speed higher than recommended for the sea/wind conditions, the people were not properly accommodated in the most behind the boat and, worse, a door was not properly locked, abruptly opening and breaking the fingers of my cousin's hand that was near the aforementioned door. We had to go to Ilha Grande, where we had lunch and returned to the hotel when it was possible. With the Junior-driven vessel following safer protocols, compared to the previous driver, accommodating the passengers backwards and coming at a speed compatible with the conditions of navigation. Except for my cousin who should go to the hospital, while telling these facts I had news that he was even taken to the hospital. We have a video of the panic moments we've been through, I haven't decided if I'm here yet.
