Maria our host was amazing. It was easy to find and close to the cruise ship terminal. Only a 5 minute taxi ride. We learned a lot about the history of Sicily and how the food is connected with the culture. Highly recommend this one. Only 1.5 hrs so you have plenty of time for other activities afterwards.
Today was incredible. Welcomed by the husband and daughter who offered to pick us up and drive us back to our cruise ship after. Learning how to make pasta by Stephania was such a memorable experience we felt invited and welcomed, and could taste the love in every meal. We made spaghetti, fettuccine and spinach ravioli. The family, then cooked three separate dishes and presented it to us with love. It was the best pasta we have ever had. Afterwards we were treated with homemade tiramisu. The whole meal was complemented by a delicious Italian wine, and the day could not have been any more perfect. If only everyone could experience this, the world would be a better place having tasted the love with which this family cooks with. I dream of getting to do this again.
The pickup/meetup point was nonspecific. We waited and waited. No one met us. There was only a long street named with no exact number. This was a terrible, exhausting and expensive experience. I request a full refund. There was no way to reach anyone at the private home or anyone for that matter, including trip advisor. My daughter and I were looking forward to this experience. I doubt I will ever use trip advisor again.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our cooking lesson with Rosella. We learned how to make fresh pasta and tiramisu. Everything tasted great. We'll be getting a pasta machine when we get back home.
We had such an amazing experience cooking, eating, drinking, and getting to know Daniela! Her hospitality is unmatched and her cooking class was absolutely a highlight of our vacation!
I can't say enough wonderful things about the experience I/we shared with Consuelo, she took us into her home we felt comfortable & we felt at home! She has a lovely place and updated kitchen. Just as we started to prepare dessert for later, she poured a fantastic drink (I'm now looking for the ingredients in the states). So yummy! There was a slight language barrier, but we totally made it work and got the cooking done. I have written down the ingredients to make in the future. The time flew by so quickly after cooking we shared the meal with her aunt and mother and enjoyed great conversation. And played with your little doggie, Nina. This was a great experience and if I am back to Messina in the future I will certainly request to cook at her place again.
