Shakers Ghost Tour 2.0

It was good, I expected a little bit more from the tour or for it to feel a little bit more natural. Parts of it felt a little staged

We had a great time exploring the Shaker Cigar Bar. Got to see the basement, the second and third floors. Tried divining rods and got some great photos! Our tour guide Jennifer was awesome!

Total scam they will charge you twice as much for the same tour do not book!! All false information and horrible staff If I could stop 1 person from booking this ill be happy worst business ever

I was very excited for this tour. Within the first 5-10 minutes the excitement was gone. Our tour guide was talking so fast and had no personal engagement. Like they were reading from a script they couldn’t stray from. I asked if she could talk a little slower and louder. I was told… sorry, that’s how I talk!! Wow. I have been on many tours of all kinds and never had to ask this of a tour guide. Normally they’re fun and why I continue finding them to go on. The 10 minute break before the 2nd hour we chose to wait in the bar for our friends who continued the tour. They did came to ask if we were joining for the second half and we politely said no. Found out they handed out little ghost flashlights to everyone, even though we paid $47pp and were still there as they knew we were we must not have deserved one. I wonder had we enjoyed the tour guide would we have had a better experience.

Joe was a wonderful tour guide. He made the tour fun and exciting. After the tour was over, my boyfriend and I had more questions to ask and he stayed after and answered them. What a great experience. Thank you Joe. I highly recommend this tour to everyone.

Our tour guide was funny and kept the tour entertaining. He had good commentary with attendees and is the most memorable part for us. The tour itself felt very obviously fake and gimmicky. The dousing rods were so clearly faked, especially when guests who didn’t know what to do tried to use them 😅 Me and my boyfriend had a good laugh though and enjoyed the gimmicks of the tour! I think I would’ve liked some quiet time in the basement and B + A floors to see if anything changed. It was lots of talking without a whole lot of factual historic info. Like I said, silly and pretty gimmicky. The owner (Bob Weiss) seems to be after the $$$ more than an immersive experience, and sometimes the scripted tour felt a bit disrespectful to those who have passed. I think once is enough, but if you’re into ghosts or fun stories it could be worth it to go! Getting to see the upper levels was gorgeous.

Wonderfully detailed tour, and experience. I have never done a tour like this before, but there was no way to not get into this! I was freaked out, enthralled, laughed, nearly cried, and felt empathy for the stories of those who resided at Shakers

Kiersten was so great, even with a disruptive person in the group. I would recommend this experience to anyone

Had a great time on this tour. Amanda was very informative and interactive with the spirits. Would recommend and would go again!
