I had a wonderful experience traveling to Tajikistan this past Tuesday, and I even made a new friend along the way. All seven lakes were absolutely stunning, and the tour gave me such a lovely first taste of Tajikistan that I have now added a return trip to my bucket list. The group itself was a bit reserved, but Tajikistan, the guide, the driver, and the locals more than made up for it. I also really appreciated everyone’s patience when I was delayed at the border due to an unexpected registration issue in Uzbekistan. I felt very sorry for the wait, but the team handled everything with kindness and professionalism. Overall, I would rate the day 10 out of 10. It was a beautiful adventure and one of my most memorable travel experiences. Kheyli mamnoon! In ruz kheyli ghashang bud.
Great experience! Very authentic and refreshing visit! I recommend it
After a few days in the very much touristic Samarkand I decided to take a break for a more tranquil trip and booked for this daily tour to visit the seven lakes of Tajikistan, which are actually quite close to the border to Uzbekistan and this to Samarkand. The trip was well organized and our guide was entertaining and knowledgeable about the visited region and close-by city, where we also could visit the local bazar. I would definitely recommend this trip if you are up to take a break from the over-crowded Samarkand holiday visit.
This tour was simply amazing! Suni, our guide, was adorable, and she told us interesting information about Tajikistan. She was full. of energy, always smiling, always replying to our questions. The driver was excellent, really professional and experienced since the route was a little bit difficult. The landscapes are totally worth the trip. We had our lunch included, and it was delicious, some French fries with ground beef shashlik.
The tour was worth the price. Specially tour guide Umeda was very accommodating and she made the tour more fun. Despite the weather and we could not make it to the 7th lake, still we had a fun long ride. The food also were satisfying. We were never hungry nor thirsty on the whole trip! Would definitely book with them. Just one note: make sure to go to toilet on time before the tour starts.
This was a well-filled excursion with an excellent guide - Diloshub. She spoke good English and was always in good spirits. The lakes are beautiful. The weather wasn't ideal but we made the best of it.
A car picked me up at my hotel in Samarkand, then took me and two others to the border. The driver took our photos so the Tajik driver and guide could identify us after we crossed into Tajikistan. The border crossing was rather inefficient and took a long time. The Tajik-side driver was really nice and helped take photos of everyone in the group. The tour guide spoke English and shared story/history of the area. We first stopped in Penjakent to exchange cash and buy snacks. Then we drove to the lake area and stopped at each to take pictures. By the time we returned to Penjakent for late lunch/early dinner, it was 5pm. Unfortunately, the souvenir shops were closed already, so we didn't get to spend the money exchanged. Then we were dropped off at the border, crossed the border and met with our Uzbek driver. Overall, the tour was well organized and both driver and guide were very service-minded and friendly.
Even it was rany and cold day , I was happy with this jorney. The guide was good and transport was also good, and there were so nice and friendly people from all the World
I took this tour on 20th march and it was just amazing. Beautiful nature, kind and very welcoming people, our tourist guide and drivers were always very helpful and they gave their best to make you feel comfortable.
The Seven Beauties of Tajikistan tour from Samarkand was absolutely unforgettable. Each lake had its own unique color and charm, surrounded by stunning mountain landscapes. A peaceful escape into nature and perfect for photography lovers and adventure seekers. Highly recommended for a day well spent beyond the usual tourist trail! Though a Full Day Long Tour, but worth the fun.
