Risalendo il cratere ovest fermatevi qui per abbracciare questa splendida vista sulle coste nord e sud dell'isola
Nel punto più alto della strada si può fare una breve escursione al Lago Canário, e osservare i dintorni di questa area paesaggistica protetta.
Nel punto panoramico principale sul famoso lago all'interno di questo cratere si può assistere alle dimensioni di questo cratere, il piccolo villaggio che esiste al suo interno così come i bellissimi laghi, che nel complesso, crea un'atmosfera speciale da questo punto di vista.
Scendendo lungo la strada che porta all'interno del cratere, da questo punto di vista avrete una prospettiva diversa dei laghi e del villaggio.
Ancora, un altro lago, il lago Santiago, è visibile da questo punto di vista, un piccolo cratere contenuto all'interno di quello principale.
Terminata la discesa sul fondo del cratere, ci fermiamo al ponte che divide entrambi i laghi, per un’altra prospettiva di questo cratere gigante e alcune foto.
Nel centro di questo piccolo villaggio si può visitare una chiesa abbastanza singolare dove un piccolo sentiero con pini e cedri Norfolk conduce alla chiesa di San Nicola.
Esplora un po 'del centro del villaggio e prenditi una pausa per usare i bagni o bere un drink o uno spuntino in un bar locale.
L'ultima tappa del tour ti porta nel punto più occidentale di São Miguel. Un belvedere sull'oceano, utilizzato in passato come luogo di avvistamento delle balene, e con vista su Ferraria da un lato e sul villaggio di Mosteiros dall'altro.

I had the pleasure of experiencing the half day tour with Flávio. What a wonderful day! I was only in Ponta Delgada for 24 hours and I made the most of it. Flávio is a wonderful tour guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly, safe and fun! It was just me so I was a little nervous at first but Flávio was the epitome of professional. I learned so much and had the most beautiful day. I don’t like big tour groups so this was perfect! He even dropped me off at a wonderful seafood restaurant. Delicious! You won’t regret booking this tour. It’s incredible!

The tour is great! Four hours after we landed in São Miguel, we had already been to a pineapple plantation, gorgeous ocean views and crater lakes...and we still had two hours to go!! Flavio was an excellent tour guide who navigated the roads well and gave us plenty of time to see everything we wanted to see. He knew all the information he needed to know for the tour, and we asked a lot more questions about the island, economy, people, tourism, etc. He had a great sense of humor and made the tour fun. There were three of us on our tour and we absolutely would do it again!

Excellent tour covering various viewpoints along the way and the pineapple plantation. Very knowledgable guide. Great to see Cidades on the morning of our flight as it had been covered in cloud for much of our visit.

Flavio is a wonderful guide for the Azores! We were given an itinerary to work from, however Flavio is incredibly flexible, and will build the itinerary around your wishes. He is both a wonderful driver, skilled on narrow roads and tight parking! Flavio’s car was comfortable and spacious, with bottles of water supplied. HIs passion for the Azores, and his knowledge is outstanding. The pineapple tour was fascinating and educational. We LOVED our tour with Flavio, and would give him 10/10 + This was the highlight of our 5 day stop in the Azores.
Flavio was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and passionate about his country. Car was roomy and clean, trip was not rushed and felt he was very flexible with itinerary. The pineapple farm was much more interesting than I expected, well worth it.

Flávio is an excellent tour guide -- knowledgeable, patient, flexible, prompt, and humourous. We had an 8-hour layover in Ponta Delgada on our way to Graciosa (by way of Terceira), so we booked this 1/2 day (4 hour) tour of a pineapple plantation and Sete Cidades. Within a few hours of making the reservation online, Flávio messaged me via Whatsapp and confirmed the reservation. Communication was excellent throughout the process, and he picked us up at the airport in a very nice car thoughtfully stocked with waters. He told us a lot about the history and culture of Sao Miguel and the Azores in an engaging and entertaining way, answering our questions.
