Itinerario
La zona del Porto Antico rappresenta per i turisti un grande punto di incontro della città. Interamente pedonale, è perfetta per imparare a guidare il Segway in modo rapido e sicuro, a pochi passi dal mare.
L'escursione inizia con la visita del Palazzo San Giorgio, prima banca d'Europa e luogo di grande importanza storica.
Entreremo nel centro storico medievale passando attraverso questa importante piazza, piena di curiosità ed edifici importanti.
Passeremo attraverso il centro storico pedonale più grande d'Europa, dalla storia millenaria e pieno di intricati vicoli, segreti e luoghi molto caratteristici. È stato dichiarato Patrimonio dell'Umanità dell'UNESCO.
Attraverseremo una delle strade più affascinanti e importanti d'Europa, completamente originale, simbolo della città. I suoi edifici eleganti del XVI secolo e i giardini pensili ci regaleranno un'atmosfera unica e indimenticabile.
Dopo aver visitato i vicoli del centro storico, le chiese e gli edifici che lo compongono, ci sposteremo in un'epoca più recente con la spettacolare ed elegante galleria in ferro del XIX secolo che ci condurrà verso nuovi e importanti monumenti.
Arriveremo nel cuore del centro storico, la grande piazza con la maestosa fontana su cui si affacciano l'importate Teatro Carlo Felice, il Palazzo della Borsa olandese e altri palazzi splendidi, quindi giungeremo nella bellissima Via XX Settembre, storica via dello shopping e degli affari della città.
Ammireremo il grande, sontuoso ed elegante Palazzo Ducale, un tempo residenza dei signori genovesi e sede del potere della città, anch'esso situato nel cuore del centro storico, in Piazza Matteotti.
Raggiungeremo la casa in cui nacque nel 1451 il famoso navigatore genovese e resteremo stupiti dal fascino che conserva.
Attraverseremo questa imponente porta medievale, antica via di accesso alla Repubblica di Genova, per poi scivolare nuovamente tra i vicoli di uno dei quartieri più antichi della città: Via Ravecca.
Vedrai l'antica chiesa e il suo chiostro particolare, alcuni scorci del centro visto da una posizione elevata e affascinante, poi scenderai nuovamente verso il mare.
Questa caratteristica piazza piena di ristoranti, pub e birrerie, un vero "ombelico del mondo", è stata da sempre il punto di incontro di giovani, studenti della famosa università di Genova e in generale della "movida" genovese.
La Cattedrale di Genova, la chiesa più importante del centro storico, con i suoi preziosi marmi e l'architettura mozzafiato, ci farà sollevare lo sguardo verso il cielo per poterla ammirare nella sua interezza.
Il tour si conclude con una passeggiata lungo il lungomare, nel PORTO ANTICO, con i suoi padiglioni e palazzi moderni, il fantastico e affascinante Galeone Nettuno, una star del cinema pirata, per arrivare infine proprio sulla riva al mare e ammirare tutto il porto da un’area dedicata.

We have taken Segway tours in various world cities before but this was the best. We easily manoeuvred through Genova’s winding streets stopping frequently while Matt explained the historical significance of the sites before us. The tour was well paced, informative and a great way to see the historic Old Town including the beautiful noble residences, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We really enjoyed the experience. Learning segway done with seriousness, very kindness of the Italian guide who gave everything to speak French. The French was very approximate but sufficient, and at least done with will. To further explore the history of some places we will return more specifically but without segway. I highly recommend this activity if you want to discover the segway and travel the city quickly with a touch of history and sympathy.
Fabulous way to see Genoa. We chose the 2 hour tour to fully enjoy the city, definitely a highlight of our holiday. We had a problem weatherise on the 1st day of our booking but Mattieo gave us a few options, which we were grateful for, allowing us to do the tour with Joseph the following day. Can't fault the staff, their patience with novices is outstanding, very good tuition on how to travel safely and Joseph was very attentive, checking I was ok all through the trip - Brilliant! I would def recommend this tour!
I received this experience as a gift. Absolutely recommended, very fun and engaging, riding the Segway has allowed you to discover many interesting views of Genoa. Two and a half hours of flying, definitely not heavy and not tiring. Applause to Matthias, our guide, very prepared and very nice
A fun way to see Genova. Matt was a great guide with a good knowledge of the area and a lovely, easygoing narure. We learned a lot about the history of Genova which was enlightening and interesting
I highly recommend this activity to visit especially with Matt who knows the city on his fingertips and who makes you super comfortable to segway.

Great way to see Genoa. Tour guide Mattieo was fabulous. I would highly recommend the tour. We did a two hour tour and we really got to see the city. It is an absolutely a beautiful city. We were on a cruise ship and only had one day to see the city so it was a perfect experience. Thank you for a great day.
What a great way to see Genova! I can't say enough great things about Matt the guide! He was knowledgeable, funny and made the day so much fun. He clearly knows the city and took us to all the must see spots. The segway was easy to learn to use and Matt did a great job with a segway tutorial prior to the tour. This really is ideal with the hills, distance and closed streets.
