We had an amazing experience from start to finish on this trip. Our guides Nicole and Travis were awesome. Being able to see the full base of Uluru on a Segway was great. The guides were very knowledgeable and respectful of the traditions and sacred sites and tries to ensure everyone on the tour understood why and also abided by the rules. We even saw wild camels at the end of our tour which was definitely a highlight as well. I would highly recommend this tour.

Really enjoyed this tour. Early pick up but worth it to see sunrise over Uluru with a mug of tea and a bit of breakfast, what could be better. Then off to our Segway trip. Both my sister and I had not done this before so were a bit apprehensive. But the 2 tour leaders could not have been more helpful and patient. they made sure everyone was comfortable before we started off around Uluru. There was a real mix of ages from a teenager to some of by over 50. It was a great fun way to do the trip with stops along the way for photos and interesting information. A great morning experience.

We agree, it definitely makes the early morning wake up worth it!! As for learning to Segway, it's actually really common for people to be like both yourself and your sister. Our guides are expert Segway riding instructors and are usually able to help settle the pre-ride nerves within a matter of minutes of Segway training. It's great to hear that your tour group had such a good dynamic and mix of travellers and that interpretative information from our guides helped to make the experience all that much more enjoyable. Informative and exuberant guide Nicole-and easy to use the Segway. 69 yo and dodgy knees and still easy to use. Just a matter of balance and and shifting weight to control.

Such a fun experience! My daughter and I absolutely loved scooting around the base in this way! Walking is fun too, you get up close, but if you want to experience the circuit in a different way, this is a winner. Breakfast was light but just right, guides were respectful of Aṉangu traditions and the beauty of Uluru in the morning sunshine was incredible. Highly recommend!

Great relaxed experience with a Segway to go around the sacred sites of the rock and listen to some of the stories associated. Great cultural experience. The tour guide Nicole was extremely knowledgeable, professional and polite.

Transport pickup was on time. Travis and Kaylee provided a light breakfast while viewing the Uluru sunrise. The safety talk was simple but necessary & the trial ride gave us the essential skills needed to complete the tour. Safety equipment was provided for our protection. Travis imparted interesting information about areas of Uluru and identified areas that were sacred. Not being Indigenous, he also explained the level of knowledge he was allowed to obtain from the local mob, and how he was granted permission to impart this knowledge. The Segway Tour was so much fun - I would thoroughly recommend this activity.

I was a bit disappointed with the Segway tour of the full base of Uluru. While the experience itself was enjoyable, it misses a significant and arguably one of the most important sections, the Mala Walk. This means you don’t get up close to key highlights like the Kitchen Cave or experience the stunning finish at Kantju Gorge with its impressive vertical walls. If you’re short on time and won’t have the opportunity to return to Uluru to explore what you’ve missed, this tour may not be the best choice. For those wanting to see everything Uluru has to offer, I wouldn’t recommend this option. Also sunrise from the car park isn’t as good as from the platforms, which you can’t access on this tour.

The tour that you joined us on was the Uluru Sunrise and Segway tour. This tour circumnavigates the full base of Uluru on Segway and includes a guided walk into the famous Mutitjulu Waterhole (Kuniya Walk). This is a fantastic option for guests wanting to circumnavigate the full base of Uluru and spend more time on a Segway. The Mala walk isn't included on the Uluru Sunrise Segway tour. The Mala Walk is however featured on our other Segway tour experiences at Uluru - Uluru's Best and Segway tour and Uluru's Best and Segway at Sunset tour. These tour options operate multiple times a day and are the best tours to do if you want to do both the Kuniya Walk and the Mala Walk. These tour options are designed for customers who want to do multiple walks at Uluru and Segway the most scenic part of Uluru but not circumnavigate the full base. Thanks for your feedback about our sunrise location. Like many other small group tours we opt to watch the sunrise from a slightly different location - away from the crowds. The main advantage of our sunrise viewing location is that it's largely private. Usually it's only our small group watching sunrise instead of on the crowded platform with hundreds of other people. This provides an intimate experience and provides wonderful opportunities for photographs. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Central Australia.
Our timing was bad. It had rained 11 days prior to our tour and some of the trail was still wet. The tour company proceeded with the tour, but we didn’t even Segway halfway around Ayers Rock. That was disappointing. The two tour guides, however, were great.

We're lucky to have an exceptional team of tour guides. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy our wet weather alternative. As you know, we've recently experienced a once-in-a-decade rain event and many tracks around the base of Uluru are either still flooded or unsafe to ride Segways on due to extensive track damage. As you experienced, on wet weather alternative tour days we contact all guests via email prior to their tour. In our emails we advised you that we'll be completing an alternative tour and gave you the option to cancel up until 14 hours prior to the tour start time. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the wet weather alternative. We'll continue to communicate our wet weather process with guests in advance, whilst we wait for National Parks to advise it is safe to re-commence touring on the base walk track of Uluru.
