Il nostro tour inizierà al punto di incontro, da dove intraprenderemo un viaggio di 3 ore alla scoperta dei siti storici e religiosi più importanti. Visiteremo i Ghats, il crematorio, i templi, le stradine, i mercati e le famose bancarelle di cibo, ma anche i luoghi meno turistici che sono la chiave per comprendere la realtà della moderna Varanasi. Dashaswamedh Ghat: - Dashashwamedh ghat è uno dei ghat più antichi, spettacolari e importanti, situato sulla riva del fiume Gange vicino al vecchio tempio di Vishwanath nel Kashi. Il significato letterale del Dashashwamedh è il Ghat (fronte del fiume) dei dieci cavalli sacrificati (trattino significa 10, ashwa significa cavallo, medh significa sacrificio). Ci sono due mitologie sul ghat è che il Signore Brahma è stato creato il Dashashwamedh ghat per accogliere il Signore Shiva, e il secondo è che il Signore Brahma è stato sacrificato i dieci cavalli in uno yajna qui. Questo ghat è famoso per l'Agni Pooja che si tiene qui ogni sera la sera da un gruppo di sacerdoti dedicati al Signore Shiva, al fiume Gange, a Surya, ad Agni e all'intero universo.
Il Tempio Vishalakshi, noto anche come Tempio Vishalakshi Gauri, è uno dei templi più importanti di Varanasi che appartiene alla dea Vishalakshi. La dea Vishalakshi è un aspetto della dea Parvati o Gauri e si ritiene che abbia grandi occhi poiché il nome dice anche "Vishalakshi = Vishal (grande) + akshi (occhi)." Si trova al Mir Ghat sulle rive del fiume Ganga. Il tempio è considerato una Shakti Pitha dedicata alla Divina Madre indù, Adi Shakti. Il popolare luogo sacro di Varanasi fa parte della famosa triade di templi, Kanchi Kamakshi, Madurai Meenakshi e Kashi Visalakshi. Si ritiene che qui siano caduti gli orecchini o kundal della dea Sati.
Tempio nepalese: - Shri Samrajeswar Pashupatinath Mahadev Mandir, noto anche come Nepali Mandir, Kanthwala Mandir e Mini Khajuraho, è uno dei templi più antichi e famosi della città santa di Varanasi. Questo tempio ha grande importanza religiosa nell'Induismo ed è dedicato al Signore Shiva. Il mandir è realizzato in terracotta, pietra e legno e ci sono voluti tre decenni per completarlo. Il legno è a prova di termiti. È costruito in stile architettonico nepalese ed è circondato da alberi di tamarindo e ficus religiosa (peepal).
Manikarnika Ghat: - Questo Ghat è famoso per essere il sacro terreno di cremazione per gli indù. Manikarnika Ghat è uno dei luoghi di cremazione più sacri tra i sacri lungofiumi (Ghat), lungo il fiume Gange. Nell'Induismo, la morte è considerata una porta verso un'altra vita segnata dal risultato del proprio karma. Si ritiene che l'anima di un essere umano raggiunga moksha e quindi interrompa il ciclo di rinascita quando viene cremata qui. Il pozzo sul ghat si chiama Manikarnika Kund ed è stato costruito dal Signore Vishnu.

This tour is much more than just sightseeing. The guide Akash explains the history, culture, and local customs in easy-to-understand English, answering the questions that naturally come to mind as you walk through the city. The pace of the tour was perfect—not too fast and not too slow. I joined on my last day in Varanasi, but honestly, I wish I had taken this tour at the beginning of my stay. It made me understand and enjoy the city so much more than exploring on my own. This tour exceeded all my expectations and was absolutely worth more than the price. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Varanasi. Akash is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel comfortable throughout the tour. This tour in Varanasi was really very interesting. The guide was super nice and helpful and the places visited (well 5) very charming. We also had access to a place usually closed to the public. Recommended! Duration about 3 hours.
