Dopo essere stati prelevati nel luogo concordato, faremo un breve tragitto fino alla prima sosta lungo le strade di Sebenico, dove si può godere di una vista mozzafiato sul paesaggio di Sebenico, con vista sul mare e sulle isole di Sebenico. Dopo il pick-up, inizieremo un facile giro lungo le bellissime strade di Sebenico, fino al monumento e parco giochi Dražen Petrović. Dražen Petrović è stato il miglior giocatore di basket croato e una delle figure sportive più famose di Sebenico. Il nostro autista vi racconterà qualcosa in più sui gloriosi tempi in cui Dražen giocava per il club locale e la nazionale.
La Fortezza Barone (conosciuta anche come Fortezza di Šubićevac; in croato: Tvrđava Barone o Tvrđava Šubićevac) è una fortezza costruita nel 1646 sulla collina Vidakuša sopra la città. La fortezza è stata rivitalizzata e riaperta nel gennaio 2016. Come la Fortezza di San Michele ristrutturata nel 2014, anche la Fortezza di Barone ha vinto il premio nazionale di attrazione culturale dell'anno nel 2016. Ora offre ai suoi visitatori un tour digitale attraverso il passato di Sebenico attraverso una piattaforma di realtà aumentata e altre funzionalità multimediali.
Fortezza di San Giovanni (nota anche come Tanaja; croato: Tvrđava sv. Ivana) si trova in cima ad una collina a nord del centro storico della città. Prende il nome da una chiesa medievale dedicata a San Giovanni Battista, che vi sorgeva almeno dal 1444. La fortezza, insieme all'adiacente fortezza barone, fu costruita durante la guerra di Creta e respinse con successo gli attacchi ottomani consecutivi nel 1646 e nel 1647. Il nome locale della fortezza, Tanaja, deriva da una delle sue strutture, un'opera a forma di pinza, o tenaille (italiano: tenaglia).
La Fortezza di San Michele è un forte medievale situato su una ripida collina sopra il centro storico della città. La fortezza prende il nome dalla chiesa più antica di Sebenico, la chiesa di San Michele, che si trovava all'interno delle sue mura. Una teoria suggerisce che la chiesa fu costruita durante la prima ondata di cristianizzazione della Croazia, dalla fine dell'VIII all'inizio del IX secolo. Dalla sua riapertura nel luglio 2014, il palcoscenico estivo all'aperto della fortezza è diventato una parte importante della vita culturale di Sebenico. Oggi è il secondo monumento più visitato di Sebenico e la seconda fortificazione più visitata della Croazia.
La nuova piazza principale di Sebenico con parco archeologico e un garage / centro logistico sottostante è progettata come un campo urbano, sociale e infrastrutturale integrato che imposta un dialogo aperto tra la città medievale, moderna e contemporanea, creando una vasta comunità di sorprendenti potenzialità che tiene alto il cielo.
La Cattedrale di San Giacomo è una delle più belle e significative realizzazioni architettoniche della Croazia ed è stata inclusa nella lista del patrimonio culturale mondiale dell'UNESCO dal 2000. È stato costruito in un periodo di oltre cento anni, durante il XV e il XVI secolo, ed è unico per essere costruito interamente in pietra. I più importanti costruttori della cattedrale furono Juraj Dalmatinac (Georgius Mathei Dalmaticus) e Nikola Firentinac (Niccolò di Giovanni Fiorentino). Inizialmente costruito in stile gotico, è stato successivamente completato in stile rinascimentale. La nostra ultima sosta alla cattedrale è perfetta per una breve passeggiata attraverso la zona pedonale, che consente di esplorare una parte della ricca storia di Sebenico e sperimentare lo stile di vita locale oggi.

La degustazione consiste in 3 vini locali e piccoli snack, di solito non più di 30 minuti. We found our Tuk Tuk right outside our ship, though we didn’t quite see him right away. We traveled easily through the streets of Sibenik to each of the 3 fortresses. You have about 10 minutes to explore two fortresses, Barone and St. John’s and then a guided tour of St. Michael’s. You stop at a lovely restaurant for your snack and wine. It is plentiful and delicious. Our dirive, Vice, was professional and knowledgeable. We then ended the tour at St. James Cathedral where you have some free time. We were taken back to our ship at the end of our tour.

It was exvellent, our guide Luka was fantastic guide who was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any of our questions. He was chilled laid back and nothing was too much trouble. The sights were beautiful and the wine tasting was unexpectedly amazing, such nice people, great wine and food, with no harsh after sale. I highly recommend this trip, it was worth every penny 😀

Excellent and unique way to experience Sibenik with the Tuk Tuk tour. Great communication with the tour operator in advance and the tour guide, Francesco, on the day of regarding pick up at our ship's tender port. Francesco's knowledge of the Fortresses and the city itself was impressive and concise. We were given time on our own at each Fortress to explore. The highlight of our tour was the stop at Restaurant & Caffebar sv Lovre, a restored monastery for a wine tasting with charcuterie board. Family run, son Tony provided the history of the venue as well as wine highlights. Highly recommend this tour for a unique way to experience Sibenik.

This was great! Our guide was outstanding and knowledgeable, our ship could not get to port due high winds and he came to meet us where we had to tender ashore. They entire afternoon was fantastic and we highly recommend.

Had a great tour with Luca. The electric tuk tuk charged up hills and was a fun open air ride. Luca is a certified guide and had extensive knowledge of history of the town over the centuries. It would be impossible for most people to hike up to the two top fortresses, but nothing in the tuk tuk and the views were outstanding. After seeing the three fortresses it was off to the winery. Great food treats and very nice wines. We bought a bottle of course. Highly recommend the tuk tuk tour!

Luka was an amazing tour guide, extremely knowledgeable on the local area. I would highly recommend this tour over the cruise tours, the tour company picked us up at the cruise ship drop off (Port Luka) and started our tour; I bet even the locals could learn something new from Luka our guide. Fun and exciting way to see many sights in a short time!

Our tour guide, Luka, was friendly and knowledgeable. He met us at our location in the tuk tuk. We were the only people on the tour. Luka provided interesting information as we drove by various sites. We had somewhat of a hard time hearing him and we were sitting right behind him. I can’t imagine that if there were others sitting behind us in the tuk tuk that they would be able to hear a thing. We visited two fortresses - given time to walk through each without the guide. And then to the Winery Rak, which was fabulous. We tasted three very good wines and were given a very generous amount of breads, cheeses, olive oil, and prosciutto - all delicious but we couldn’t finish it. The owner was very gracious and provided interesting information about the wines, process, olive oil, etc. The wines were very good and we bought a white and a red. By this time, St Michael’s Fortress had closed (17:00), so Luka gave us our tickets to go the next day, which we did. We didn’t get to go in the Cathedral either, which I thought was included in the price. All in all, this is a great tour and an easy and fun way to get to each fortress. And the wine tasting really made it!
