Amazing time! This is by far the best Sealife we've visited. The park includes various aquatic exhibits with fascinating animals, a large park and a splash park. We spent all day here. Staff are welcoming and friendly upon arrival. The rock pool was amazing and huge! 10/10 would highly recommend
What an amazing place, we bought a Season ticket and visited every day of our Holiday. All the exhibits were active, clean and healthy All the Staff were polite and helpful, the kids splash pool was safe and well supervised, the play park was fun and safe. Food was lovely and well priced. Everywhere was clean and tidy. We visited with our SEND child and found this to be a great haven. Well done to the whole Team.
We decided to give Weymouth Sealife a try for a fun half term day out yesterday. We booked the add on option of a behind the scenes tour also. We had previously visited Sealife in Bournemouth and were left quite disappointed but the Weymouth Sealife centre was so much better! It’s much bigger than Bournemouth branch, and it’s really a very good action packed half day out ! We spent four hours there and could have stayed longer! It has a fantastic outdoor wet play / swimming area for children, fun quiz’s to do on the way around, lots of animals are outside so not whole time indoors which is great in hot weather. It also had an unexpectedly large play area / wooden tower which the kids were clearly loving. I never knew that the sea creatures/ animals here are all rescues and I was very impressed with how clean and well cared for they are. The only animal which looked as though it would have benefitted from more space and coverage was the turtle. We had a behind the scenes tour with Ace, he was extremely knowledgeable and clearly loves his animals. My daughter asked him lots of questions and I feel it is a wonderful and cheap add on which gives you a true behind the scenes look at just how the Sealife centre runs and how hard their staff work to keep their creatures all so well cared for. I am considering a membership after such a nice visit, and we will return. A soecial mention to Mia also who warmly welcomed us at reception and was a lovely friendly face to be greeted with after our long journey there. Only little thing I would say is that the children’s welcome / activity pack needs a little treat in it of some sort ! More staff present near the tanks would be ideal, as I noticed some parents were allowing there children to bang on the glass :( Many thanks and we look forward to returning in the very near future! Xx
We booked tickets for Saturday this weekend just gone. Wed booked a train trip to Weymouth but then had to cancel because of service changes. I contacted sea life Weymouth to ask if we could use our tickets at sea life in Birmingham since it’s the same company. Haven’t heard anything back at all. They’ve had our money why would they not let us use the tickets elsewhere? Shane on them. Money grabbers 🤬
Had a lovely time at Sea Life Weymouth, there was lots to explore and to see. I loved learning about the different animals they had in the Sea Life. Definitely Value of money. Lots of parking and reasonable prices to park
We enjoyed the sea life but we're disappointed to be told by one guide- don't bother to go and see the seals being fed- you won't get in. It didn't seem a particularly busy day. It's also hard for families who have afforded the entrance fee to be met with more activities that have to be paid for on site. I am not sure one if the animals in the turtle area was happy as it had a really small tank with its poo floating on the surface. Perhaps you could advertise that feeding times are first come first served to avoid disappointment.
We’ve been a few times and always enjoyed it but this visit was exceptional because of Amelia, an incredibly friendly and knowledgable guide around the rock pools and star fish. She went above and beyond for my little boy and really inspired him - he wants to be a marine biologist and she told him all about opportunities at Sea Life as well as giving him a little gift. He said it was the best day of his life! He has been proudly beaming and showing everyone her gift and telling them about her - she turned it from a good day to an extraordinary day we’ll never forget. Thank you!!
Great family day out, overall the kids enjoyed themselves, especially the splash park at the end. The tickets are really expensive, we were hoping to watch more of the animal feeding sessions, but unfortunately they were all over crowded and much too busy so we were unable to see. I think they let far too many people in the park, we could barely get our pram around people in each building.
Three generation family visit. Enjoyed by the youngest but much less so by the older ones mainly due to small size of animal and fish enclosures. BEWARE: the map given on arrival includes a mini golf course. However, it is not made clear that this is a separate organisation that makes a significant extra charge for entry.
What was supposed to be a lovely family day out during our holiday in Weymouth turned into a very disappointing experience. Only around 10 minutes after arriving, while exploring the centre with my partner, mother, sister and autistic nephew, a fire broke out. Within minutes, thick black smoke was filling the park. We immediately decided to leave as we didn’t feel it was safe to stay. On our way out, we asked about a refund or the possibility of rebooking. The member of staff at the desk told us he wasn’t authorised to issue refunds and also said that we didn’t have to leave, despite the fact that smoke was already spreading through the premises . By this point I was feeling nauseous and unwell from the smoke. As we got outside, we could see crowds of people rushing out, and staff had stopped allowing new visitors to enter. Our car, which was parked outside, ended up covered in ash from the fire, highlighting just how significant the incident was. Later, I read the news article and was surprised to see a statement saying the premises had been evacuated. From what we experienced, visitors appeared to evacuate themselves. We did not witness any organised evacuation or instructions from staff to leave before people had already begun making their own way out. I understand emergencies can happen and I don’t blame SEA LIFE for the fire itself. However, I do expect clear communication, proper evacuation procedures, and fair customer service afterwards. Being told we didn’t have to leave while the building was filling with smoke was concerning, and leaving after only 10 minutes without being offered a refund or an immediate solution was extremely disappointing. Based on this experience, I can’t recommend visiting and hope the evacuation procedures and customer service are reviewed so other families don’t have the same experience.
