If you want more than a sightseeing tour and truly want to understand Buenos Aires, Mariano is the guide to book. From Plaza de Mayo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, Casa Rosada, the Obelisk, and José de San Martín’s Mausoleum to the elegant Confitería Ideal for coffee and a croissant, every stop was thoughtfully paced and filled with fascinating history. I especially loved learning about the building where the author of The Little Prince once lived—something I would have completely missed on my own. Mariano also shared the story of how Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who once walked these very streets as Archbishop of Buenos Aires, would later become Pope Francis, making the city’s history feel deeply personal. As we drove through the city, Mariano explained how Buenos Aires reclaimed land from the Río de la Plata, creating vibrant modern neighborhoods while preserving its remarkable history. In La Boca and Caminito, Mariano brought the immigrant history of the neighborhood to life through stories that made it feel like stepping back in time. San Telmo offered another perspective of the city, where we enjoyed delicious empanadas, a refreshing mint-ginger lemonade, and explored the famous market filled with antiques, local art, and culture. Our final stop at Recoleta Cemetery was unforgettable. Mariano’s moving story about Eva Perón reminded me that “life doesn’t have to be long—it has to be large.” The true measure of a life isn’t the number of years we live, but the positive impact we leave on others. Mariano is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and patient. He never rushes you, encourages questions, and tells stories that make Buenos Aires come alive. By the end of the day, I didn’t just visit Buenos Aires—I felt like I understood its soul. Thank you, Mariano, not only for sharing your incredible knowledge, but also for introducing me to everyday life in Buenos Aires—including my very first ride on the city’s subway! Experiences like that made me feel less like a tourist and more like a local. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. 🇦🇷❤️
Great guide, very informative, addresses all wishes, and adapts to the needs of the guest.
I booked this tour for my mother. During the booking process, communication was very smooth, and there was a lot of flexibility with the arrangements. Mariano took excellent care of my mother. He showed her around different parts of the city and even took her to try some local snacks. At the end, he also took her to the airport, helped her check in, and assisted her at the counter with a few issues. Thank you so much, Mariano.
We visited the best of Buenos Aires with Mariano as our tour guide. Mariano is friendly, helpful and very passionate about his work. He showed us the best sights at Buenos Aires in a day. We enjoyed our tour thoroughly. My husband twisted his ankle and we had to reschedule our tour, which he readily agreed. He kept in touch with us and offered help. It was very nice of him, We felt at home in a place far away from home. I highly recommend this tour with Mariano

Mariano was our guide for the Discover the Best of Buenos Aires on a Full-Day Private Tour. He is an amazing, personable young man and his passion for his home city was contagious. Our day exploring this beautiful city with him was one of our best days ever. My traveling companion has difficulty walking long distances and he made sure he got us close to every sight so that we had minimal walking distance with still getting the full advantage of exploring everything. He even took us to the port at the end of the day to board or ship and made sure we got through the check-in, since we were almost the only ones there checking in late in the day. I want to mention Irina, too. She stayed in close contact with us from the day we booked until Mariano picked us up at our hotel. They make a great team! You have many choices for private tour guides - I highly recommend Mariano!
We spent a delightful day with our wonderful tour guide, Mariano! We visited the major squares in the city including near the Metropolitan Cathedral. Mariano has exceptional expertise in the various architectural styles in Buenos Aires, and we enjoyed learning about that! We visited the San Telmo neighborhood and then headed to Caminito to learn how the Italian and Spanish immigrants populated this colorful and vibrant community. After a delicious lunch in a local restaurant, we visited El Ateneo, a bookstore that was directly next door. This bookstore is located in a former beautiful theater that has been cleverly restored. Best of all, Mariano was just such a fun person and kept us enthralled with his many interesting stories of life in Buenos Aires. We hope to return in the future and will definitely meet up with Mariano again! Well done!
Excellent tour and a wonderful tour guide. Marianas was very knowledgeable with very easy to understand English. He gave us a very personalized tour and is a genuinely friendly young man. Our favorite guide of the 11 tours we have taken in the last 1-1/2 weeks.
We had never been to Buenos Aires, and only had a short time to explore before our cruise. We had booked this tour a few weeks earlier, and Mariano was in touch from time to time to make sure everything was going to be as we desired. He had some standard sites for us to see, but assured us that we could make any changes or visit any other places that we wanted that day. It was to be our tour, on our schedule, no rush. He is an engaging young man who loves his hometown. We learned a lot about the history and geography of the city. He had so many stories to share. Thank you for the interesting day.
Wow what a fabulous trip all personally designed around whichever sights you would like to see. Mariano is awesome as a tour guide and incredibly knowledgeable. We learnt so much about the history and culture of the country truly awesome. What a lovely man. Highly recommend this trip from someone who books all my activities through their reviews. Fabulous day.
