Tour non proprio turistico, passo dopo passo scoprirai la storia della città, i racconti e le vicissitudini di chi abitava nei Sassi oltre all’arte, l’architettura. un’analisi a 360° di Matera “Vergogna d’Italia” e “Patrimonio dell’Umanità”. si attraverseranno anche alcune location dei film 007; The Passion, W.Woman. il Gruppo potrebbe arrivare al massimo a 18 persone. Il giro turistico si sviluppa attraverso i luoghi e gli scorci più suggestivi dell’antica Matera passando attraverso il: Sasso Caveoso e parte del Sasso Barisano. Matera has a lot of secrets that you definitely need a tour to figure out. For example - did you have any idea it's the place of the 3rd oldest human settlement on earth? Also, it's a place with multiple beautiful and elaborate churches but also had people, who were living in caves just in the last century. We have come to Matera early in the morning without a clear understanding of where we are going but thanks to our guide Gaetano, we were left with a clear plan of action. Gaetano recommended us some places to eat, other places to visit and a story of the city to remember.
If you are visiting Matera, you must book this tour! What made this tour a 10/10 was our tour guide, Gaetano. He brought history to life with so much passion, humor, and depth. His depth of knowledge about local history was remarkable, and he answered every question with ease. Even in extreme heat, he was incredibly thoughtful, checking in constantly to ensure I was doing well. I truly enjoyed this tour. Highly recommend!
It was a very informative tour, in spite of the heat! The guide, Gianni, was very knowledgeable, and focused on one area of Sassi. He also made sure we were protected from the heat, and showed us an extra cave.

This was fantastic!!! This city is so special and thanks to the local who guided us and told us everything, we now really understand how these people lived and lived in the caves. The whole city is an optical illusion.
This was a great tour provided by a very knowledgeable guide with first hand family experience of living in the old town. He brought it to life. Unique experience. Was very hot so wear a hat and take water, bumpy uneven ground.
