Alfred, our tour guide, custom-tailored the most wonderful private group tour for us. He met us in our hotel lobby and arrived 20 minutes early, patiently waiting for us to gather in the hotel lobby. The day of our tour was unfortunately a rainy day but that was no problem. For our tour guide he adjusted multiple itinerary items on the fly based on our wants and desires. Alfred made exploring Hong Kong so easy. He made our time to be extremely efficient and he obviously has done this thousands of times. People in the tram station know him by name. Could not say enough good things about Alfred and the way he runs tours.
In one tour I heard that contrast is so important. Mr Alfred a dedicated ever so sincere tour guide encapsulated the areas of Mong Kok and Sham Shi Po. He told me the histories of the struggles people faced over the years and still currently in the present as well. These neighborhoods and shopping streets goes for several blocks with shops after shops of unique and modest merchants. He also convinced me to try Snake Soup which really tasted like American Style Chicken Noodle Soup. Also took me to local cafes for Hong Kong Style French Toast and Pineapple Buns. For a gentleman that is semi retired he went above and beyond like going up the 500 steps of Garden Hills, and made sure I was well facilitated as well. Again thank you for everything Sir Alfred.
