I'd say a 4.5 rating. The company is GREAT to work with. We designed a trip with everything I wanted to see and do. I didn't realize how rushed it would be (that's on me) and how much driving was involved . Did a 12 day trip that went to Slovenia, all over Croatia, and Mostar. Saw it all!! Wow. Our guide was super responsible, safe driver, very helpful and knowledgeable. He did talk a LOT with a lot of details about history. I couldn't take that much info in and at times it was overwhelming and too much. Everyone I worked with was fantastic with communication. They are all honest and allowed us flexibility as needed. It's really great to work with a Croatian company.
We recently returned from an incredible 11 day trip through Croatia and Slovenia with Zico Tours, and we can't recommend them highly enough! To begin with, we we found Zico Tours online after an exhaustive search. We have had bad experiences with other online companies so we were a little hesitant to book with another online company. But after more than 90 emails, we can definitely say Zico Tours exceeded our expectations. The communication was fantastic, timely, clear, and professional. We began our tour after visiting Budapest for the Formula One race - another city to definitely visit (we did that on our own). Croatia and Slovenia stole our hearts. The people, the scenery, and the places we visited were amazing. Our private driver/guide was fantastic. He ensured we were always taken care of and gave us a lot of information about the areas we visited and the history of Croatia. The private local guides in each city we went to were also great and made our experience that much better. Our tour took us through much of Croatia starting in Zagreb with 4 day stopover in Ljubljana and area, then continuing back to Croatia to Plitvice Lakes, Split, Orebic, and finally to Dubrovnik. The 4 and 5 star hotels Zico booked for us were excellent. Everything was well-organized, and the whole tour was smooth from start to finish. We definitely recommend Zico Tours! If you’re thinking about visiting Croatia and/or Slovenia—run, don’t walk because you will have an amazing time!
