We did this last week while in Galway and it was such a great experience!! Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of great information about both Hurling and Gaelic football. We were in a group of about 12 people. Our guide was friendly and patient with those of us in the group that were clearly not athletic! It was the perfect amount of instruction and time to practice the skills in both sports. We highly recommend this activity to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the world of Gaelic sports!!
This was the best time. My kids, my husband and I had a great time learning the sports. Joey was a great teacher and very patient. My kids said this was their favorite thing the whole trip!
Stephen was a wonderful trainer, explaining the intricacies of G.A.A. while helping us have fun. We traveled with three young athletes and they had a blast learning Gaelic football and camogie! We were all laughing and playing together.
Wonderful experience! Stephen is a great teacher. It was so much fun learning how to play the Gaelic games. This is our top activity in Ireland. If you're thinking about it then definitely do it.

We booked a slot at Experience Gaelic Games in Aug 2025 as a family of 5, including 3 grown children. Our instructor was Steven, he was awesome! I can’t say enough great things about him. He’s very thorough, experienced, patient and talented. We enjoyed our visit! He accommodated all of our different skill levels. We were in a small group of only 2 families so there was plenty of space and time. We learned a lot about Gaelic Football and Hurling. We didn’t actually play a game, but we learned skills and played drills that were fun. Steven was awesome! Great value for a fun group excursion!

This was such a great experience for our family. Our 10 and 11-year old boys really enjoyed learning about and playing Gaelic football and hurling. Our instructor was delightful. One of the real highlights of our trip!
Awesome experience. Organised for a stag party of 16 guys and surpassed everyone's expectations. Steven was a brilliant instructor - so knowledgeable about the sport and the history and a great coach for all levels. Made it a really fun experience for everyone. Would highly recommend
This was a highlight of our trip. Super fun! Learning hurling and Gaelic football. A must experience for anyone that wants something different in Ireland
We loved our session with Stiofán/Stephen - he obviously sussed that we were sports-mad and competitive, so worked us hard, which was great! Apart from having great fun, we came away with a better understanding of Gaelic Games, and how important they are to Irish culture and identity - so much better than simply reading about it. We are now hooked - came home to England in time to watch the amazing Clare v Cork All-Ireland Hurling Final, and can't wait until next week's Football Final between Galway and Amagh!
