Tour was cancelled was originally scheduled on Ascension day and was replaced by premium panoramic train ride from Luzerne to Interlaken. Train ride was nice with good views despite intermittent rain. However, tour guide Juliana, who took us on the tour was late for 15 minutes. The fact that Swiss train never miss its timing, there is no excuse for a tour guide to be late. I guess booking a tour on a Swiss holiday may be risky as it may not run as planned. Despite the panoramic train ride and tour is more costly as a replacement, we already booked a tour a similar route on a second day. It is also tough to make plans few days in advance.
Dear guest, Thank you for your feedback. To clarify: the guide’s 15-minute delay was caused by a train disruption, and we were in direct communication with you throughout. Given the circumstances, we feel this point deserves context rather than being presented as negligence. We do, however, feel it is important to be candid — the behaviour you displayed during the tour was not what we expect from our guests. We would encourage you to reflect on this, as on future tours with any operator, such conduct may result in you being removed from the tour entirely. There is also no excuse for the lack of respect shown toward the other guests. The guide asked you multiple times to remain seated in your assigned seat, yet you repeatedly ignored these instructions, moving between seats to take photos and record videos, while also placing a tripod in the middle of the train aisle. This created discomfort for both the other guests and regular passengers on board. In Switzerland, public transport operates with clear standards of conduct and consideration for fellow passengers, which all travellers are expected to follow. The upgrade to the panoramic train journey was offered as a genuine gesture of goodwill, at our own cost. It is unfortunate that it was not appreciated — in hindsight, it was clearly extended to the wrong person. We wish you all the best and safe travels!
It’s more of a relaxing day. Laid back & casual. The stop for lunch needed to be longer. No fault of tour guide- restaurant was slower so we didn’t see much in that town. Didn’t realize that part of tour was by bus; but that was fine. Our guide was a lovely; informative & friendly and wants to know about us as well.
Thank you very much for your kind review. It was a pleasure hosting you. Have a safe trip back home :)
