Fai colazione nell'elegante caffetteria del museo del caffè a Santos e visitalo per conoscere l'importanza del caffè per lo sviluppo socio-economico brasiliano. La caffetteria offre la possibilità di provare tutti i tipi e gli aromi di caffè macinati subito prima di essere consumati.
Sali su un tram verso il monte Serrat, che è una vetta che ha un superbo punto panoramico dall'ex vecchio casinò in cima. L'accesso al colle avviene tramite un sistema funicolare che collega il colle sommitale al centro della città e parte ogni mezz'ora. Dal suo punto di vista è possibile avere una visione completa del porto, della parte urbana di Santos e dintorni, del Canale di Bertioga, dell'estuario e delle isole Barnabé e Santo Amaro. In cima alla vetta si trova una Cappella della Madonna del Monte Serrat del XVII secolo, patrona della città e una delle sue attrazioni storiche, risalente al 1603.
Ammira la meravigliosa vista del litorale di Santos e della città di "Saint Vincent" (il primo insediamento portoghese permanente in Brasile) dal monumento di Niemeyer in cima alla collina dell'isola di Porchat. Sarai in grado di vedere l'intera sponda, le navi all'orizzonte, le onde che si formano, persone come formiche e parapendio che volano in giro! Il belvedere è stato progettato dal famoso architetto Oscar Niemeyer e inaugurato nel 2002 a causa del 500 ° anno di "Discovery" in Brasile. Rende questo posto ancora più speciale! Il museo dell'edificio a 5 piani ha una collezione molto completa di premi e momenti salienti sui 2 Mondiali di calcio vinti da Pelé, foto e filmati, fatti interessanti su partite speciali, cronologia della sua vita e molto altro. Il museo parla inglese e non costa molto entrare. Un buon modo per trascorrere un paio d'ore a Santos.

Definitely recommend this experience. We were lucky enough to have Gus and also a great driver. Gus discussed our interests and enabled us to have an extremely interesting day. Both Gus and the driver were very personable and we would all thoroughly recommend them. Very knowledgeable and keen to show us Santos and share lots of interesting facts and information.

Our driver, Hicham, picked us up early from our riad, just as the streets were waking up. Within half an hour, the red walls of Marrakech gave way to open land. The noise softened, the air cooled, and the colors shifted from ochre to green. I remember a playlist of soft Moroccan songs playing in the van, sunlight spilling through the window, and the simple contentment of watching sheep cross the road. It already felt like another world.
