La cantina si trova molto vicino al porto, affacciata sulla magnifica caldera di Santorini. Fu costruita nel 1947 dalla famiglia Venetsanos e divenne la prima cantina industriale dell'isola.
Questa azienda vinicola affermata esiste da generazioni. Giunto alla sua quarta generazione, produce ancora vini autentici e dai terreni vulcanici di Santorini.
Questa azienda vinicola si trova su una spiaggia, sul lato est dell'isola, tra le frazioni di Kamari e Monolithos. Il suo edificio industriale in pietra era una volta una fabbrica di pomodori, costruita all'inizio del 1900 e utilizzata fino agli anni '70 per fare la passata di pomodoro aromatica dai pomodorini locali. Oggi è stata trasformata in una moderna cantina con attrezzature ad alta tecnologia e strutture all'avanguardia che garantiscono una vinificazione contemporanea e condizioni ideali per una produzione di alta qualità.
Questa azienda vinicola è stata fondata nel 1997 e ancora oggi coltiva 10 ettari di vigneti e la maggior parte di essi sono biologici.
Fondata nel 1903, la famiglia Argyros ha un'eredità nella vinificazione che abbraccia decenni. Essendo il più grande proprietario privato di vigneti di Santorini, ora detengono oltre 120 ettari di acidità e la solida struttura.
Affonda le sue radici nel 1952. È indissolubilmente legato ai vigneti vulcanici di Santorini e alla tradizione vinicola. Al giorno d'oggi, i loro vini continuano a guadagnare premi in concorsi internazionali e nazionali mentre attualmente sono la terza più grande azienda vinicola di Santorini in termini di volume di produzione.

If you're in Santorini and thinking about a wine tour, do this one. I booked with Giannis from Wineland Tours having basically no clue about wine, and he completely changed that in a few hours. By the end I could actually pick out the acidity in a glass, tell the different bottles apart, and I finally understood what makes Assyrtiko so special on this island. He explains it in a way that's easy to follow and never makes you feel out of your depth. Whether you're a wine person or a total beginner like I was, you'll get something out of it. Genuinely one of the highlights of the trip 🙏
Yiannis is a friendly and VERY knowledgable level three WSET sommelier. We so appreciated his willingness to have us experience 6+ varieties of grapes from Santorini. We learned so very much about grape growing here And plan to research Greek wine in the USA. What a beautiful island to walk and visit! It is a gem amongst the Greek Islands. Argyris was our wonderful tour guide. So friendly and knowledgeable. He took us first to Koutsogiannopoulos wine museum, which wasn’t the best. Then to to Estate Argyros and last to Venetsanos. All the wineries are paid for once you book this. You could probably ask to go to a different winery or even Santos which is more touristy but it is right next to Venetsanos. Highly recommend using or asking for him to be your guide.
