Dopo un breve viaggio di 10 minuti si raggiunge il piccolo porto di Nea Kameni, dove si trova il vulcano attivo. Il tempo a tua disposizione è di circa 1 ora e 15 minuti durante i quali potrai salire e visitare questo paesaggio selvaggio con le diverse rocce vulcaniche e i crateri attivi del vulcano, dove c'è ancora fumo che esce e un forte odore di zolfo.
Per proseguire, la barca partirà per l'isola di Palaia Kameni, dove si trovano le sorgenti termali. All'interno della piccola baia di Agios Nikolaos la temperatura dell'acqua è di 30-35 gradi Celsius ma si mescola costantemente con l'acqua di mare. La barca rimane per circa 30 minuti, tempo sufficiente dato che non c'è spiaggia, ma bisogna scendere una scaletta della barca in mare e nuotare per una distanza di circa 30 metri fino all'interno della piccola baia, dove si trovano i bagni di fango. Dopo aver nuotato alle sorgenti termali, la barca inizierà una navigazione intorno alla caldera dove potrai scattare magnifiche foto del paesaggio e delle case che pendono letteralmente sul bordo della scogliera, in combinazione con gli splendidi colori del tramonto. Su una barca di legno a vela, ascoltando buona musica e gustando un bicchiere di vino locale. Dopo il tramonto la barca ritorna al vecchio porto di Fira.

Walk down to the port is long, be careful with all the stairs and be prepared with good shoes. Boat experience was nice! Climbing the volcano was doable, once again recommend good shoes! The hot spring is not hot, but rather a warmer temperature than normal…. Swim out to the springs and back was fine, please ensure everyone is a good swimmer. One person on our party knows swimming but without life vest didn’t feel comfortable so they ended up staying on the boat per recommendation of the guide. You get one alcoholic white wine drink - at sunset, all other drinks including water and beer are by purchase only! Sunset was beautiful to witness and we had a bonus with Costa our guide singing and playing the guitar. Very nice experiences!
