È la prima cosa che dovresti fare quando arrivi in città in modo da ottenere il massimo dal tuo soggiorno. In due ore attraverseremo il mare per una vista panoramica della città mentre ci godiamo la brezza marina caraibica, visiteremo tutti i principali parchi e piazze, nonché rovine secolari, chiese e ogni sorta di piccole imprese locali che esprimono il meglio della nostra cultura. Alla fine del tour ti sentirai come un locale, conoscendo tutti i posti migliori per andare a mangiare, bere, ballare e fare shopping. Vieni a pedalare con noi e vivi il meglio di Santo Domingo.

Itinerario
Il tour inizia nel nostro negozio Zona Bici in Calle Arzobispo Meriño 217. Siamo a solo un isolato di distanza da Colombus Plaza e dalla Cattedrale della città, quindi questa è la nostra prima tappa. Qui condividiamo parte della storia del parco e definiamo alcune delle attività commerciali presenti. Da lì scendiamo fino a Plaza Padre Billini dove condividiamo la sua storia e anche quella di La Casa del Tostado e altri ristoranti e attività lì.
Continuiamo a pedalare e raggiungiamo le Rovine del Convento di Dominicos e Parque Duarte, condividendo ancora una volta alcuni dei monumenti, la storia e l'importanza culturale. Da qui andiamo a Regina's Alley e vediamo la chiesa di Regina's Agelorum. Saliamo calle Jose Reyes e raggiungiamo Calle las Mercedes. Lì vediamo La Iglesia de las Mercedes e quello che chiamiamo il nuovo centro alternativo della Zona Coloniale. Da lì, percorrendo Calle Sanchez, raggiungiamo El Malecón e condividiamo la storia del Monumento Balandra Aurora. Qui iniziamo a cavalcare lungo le mura della città vecchia.
Fisrt the South Wall, dove visitiamo Park San Jose, Montesinos Monument, La Casa Del Gorjón e Plaza Pellerano Castro. Da lì raggiungiamo calle las Damas, la strada più antica della città, dove condividiamo le informazioni più storiche. A questo punto abbiamo raggiunto il muro orientale che costeggia il fiume Ozama. Lungo il muro vediamo importanti monumenti come la Casa di Cristoforo Colombo, la Casa di Hernan Cortes, La Fortaleza Ozama tra gli altri. Alla fine di calle las damas raggiungiamo Plaza España dove si trova l'Alcazar di Don Diego Colon, El Barrio de las Atarazanas e le rovine degli edifici doganali. Da lì andiamo a Santa Barabara dove condividiamo la storia della schiavitù in città. La nostra ultima fermata è a solo un isolato di distanza dal negozio, dove vediamo le Rovine di San Francisco. lì condividiamo alcuni spunti prima di tornare in negozio.

It is a very pleasant and simple bike tour in terms of physical effort, yet comprehensive and detailed regarding the points of interest visited. In addition to the bike with a basket and a bottle of cold water, the bike tour includes: 1. information simply explained - whether historical, social, cultural, aesthetic, or political, without sounding scripted by AI or a guidebook 2. perspectives and opinions from the guide that invite participation and open discussion 3. suggestions from the guide - either general or tailored to the client The guide speaks very well and clearly; he is very courteous and professional, yet at the same time, it feels like you are accompanied by a family member or an old friend from long ago. The only thing I dislike is that there isn't a bike tour/price for solo tourists, but even so, the high quality of the tour is rewarding, and the guide gave me a little extra time.

An excellent place to explore the colonial area with interesting facts and stories associated with the tourist spots. The tour lasts about two hours, and the guide takes the time to share information about each place visited. The bicycles look a bit worn out, but it is an excellent way to explore the area.
Jordano gave us an excellent tour of Zona Colonial. He was born, raised and went to school in la Zona, and supplemented his own perspective with additional study, and it shows! He included well-known historical sites as well as places known to locals not included on the official map. He also include recommendations for shopping, music and food and sent us a map afterwards with our tour route and all the additional recommendations. We biked at a slow easy pace with frequent stops. Overall excellent tour! One tip is that the bikes are INCLUDED with the tour- no need to book an extra bike rental unless you want more time afterwards.
Wonderful way to see the old town and learn the history of the Dominican Republic! Our guide kept us all entertained with stories at each stop and pointed out locations we could come back to and spend more time later. My family of four had an excellent time - thank you!
