Questa vasta piazza è il cuore di Santiago de Compostela e ospita molti degli edifici più importanti della città, tra cui la cattedrale, il Palacio de Raxoi (sede del governo regionale) e l'Hostal de los Reyes Católicos (un ex ospedale che ora funge da hotel di lusso). La piazza è un popolare luogo di ritrovo per pellegrini e visitatori, e le sue dimensioni e imponenza la rendono uno spettacolo impressionante da vedere. Qui si trova il convento più antico della città: San Paio de Antealtares. Da qui si possono vedere anche il Portico Real della Cattedrale, le torri Berenguela e Torre del Reloj e la Puerta del Perdon (che si apre solo in un Anno Santo)
Questo imponente monastero barocco era un tempo una delle istituzioni più ricche e potenti della Spagna, con vaste terre e proprietà in tutta la Galizia. Oggi i visitatori possono visitare la cappella, la biblioteca e il refettorio decorati del monastero, nonché i suoi splendidi chiostri e giardini.

Questo vivace mercato al coperto è un paradiso per gli amanti del cibo, con dozzine di bancarelle che vendono pesce fresco, carne, formaggio, prodotti e altre specialità locali. I visitatori possono assaggiare alcuni dei famosi polpi della Galizia, gustare un bicchiere di vino o vermouth e immergersi nell'atmosfera vivace del mercato.

It would be helpful to do a little homework ahead of time because there's just so much to learn and, after a while, it's hard to remember everything. Also, bring a snack and water
