Il Sanjay Gandhi National Park è un'area protetta di 87 km2 (34 sq mi) a Mumbai, nello stato del Maharashtra in India. È stata fondata nel 1996 con sede a Borivali. È noto come uno dei principali parchi nazionali esistenti all'interno di un limite di metropoli ed è uno dei parchi più visitati al mondo.
Le grotte di Kanheri al centro del parco erano un importante centro di apprendimento buddista e un luogo di pellegrinaggio scolpito dai monaci buddisti tra il IX e il I secolo a.C. Sono stati scolpiti da un massiccio affioramento di roccia basaltica.
Tempio Trimurti Nella foresta, c'è un famoso tempio giainista chiamato Trimurti (che significa "tre idoli") o Trimurti Digambar Jain Mandir. Questo tempio è ampiamente visitato dalla setta Digambar della comunità Jain. Ha tre enormi idoli di Lord Adinath e dei suoi due figli, Lord Bahubali e Lord Bharata.

We absolutely loved the visit. The Guide whose name was Mehul was absolutely on point. He did took care of everything. He was soo helping to other visitors as well. The company did great job for our visit to SGNP + Lion Safari + Kanheri Caves. Such a great experience to have. Thank you soo much. I have rated just one for the money as i feel it is very expensive. In this price range only the guide is additional thing. rest everything was same for other visitors as well.

Very pricey for what the tour offers. Caves were nice to see and get history behind them however paying 258 USD was not worth the experience. Your guides were nice though

We had a layover in Mumbai so booked this tour for the afternoon and we were not disappointed. Good communication from the tour operator and Hardik who picked us up with a driver from the airport and took us to the park. On arrival we met with Kishor who was our guide for the park. Kishor was very passionate and knowledgeable about the park and the caves - he bought the whole history to life and we had Buddhist meditation in the caves, as we had them to ourselves. We've booked the tour to the SGNP, including the caves, lions area and Vipassana pagoda. Everything was tailored to our needs and we had a great time!
