La tradizionale preparazione del caffè turco prevede un meticoloso processo che inizia con la selezione e macinazione di chicchi di caffè di alta qualità per garantirne la perfetta finezza. Tuttavia, ciò che rende l’esperienza davvero eccezionale è il metodo di preparazione del caffè sulla sabbia. In Cappadocia, pentole di rame riscaldate con sabbia appositamente progettate conosciute come "cezve" vengono riempite con acqua, caffè e zucchero e poste sulla sabbia riscaldata. Questo metodo consente una distribuzione del calore delicata e controllata, esaltando i sapori e gli aromi del caffè. Con la pentola immersa nella sabbia calda, raggiunge gradualmente la temperatura desiderata, ottenendo un infuso ricco e saporito.
