Inizia da Edificio Italia — Inizia il tuo viaggio dall'iconico Edifício Itália, un tempo il più alto di San Paolo e ancora uno dei monumenti più riconoscibili della città. Questo punto d’incontro ci colloca proprio nel cuore del “Centro Novo” e prepara il terreno per una passeggiata attraverso gli strati della complessa storia urbana di San Paolo.
Brutalismo al Copan - Progettato da Oscar Niemeyer, il Copan Building è un capolavoro del modernismo brasiliano e dell'architettura brutalista. Con le sue curve sorprendenti e la sua scala massiccia, riflette l'ottimismo e il caos della verticalizzazione di metà secolo di San Paolo e l'ambizione di una città che si reinventa.
Centro Novo Treasures - Esplora gallerie e corridoi dello shopping sotterraneo pieni di dischi in vinile, oggetti d'antiquariato, manga e cimeli della cultura pop. Questa vivace zona rivela l'anima contemporanea della città, modellata dalla diversità, dalla cultura dei consumatori e dalla resistenza. Un luogo preferito per collezionisti e sottoculture.
Identità brasiliana - Al Teatro Municipale, riflettiamo su come il Brasile ha plasmato la sua identità culturale. Ispirato all'architettura europea, questo edificio ospitò la Settimana dell'Arte Moderna del 1922 - un punto di svolta in cui gli artisti ruppero con la tradizione per esprimere qualcosa di unico brasiliano. Qui l’eleganza incontra la ribellione e l’identità prende il palco.
Art Déco & Coffee Boom - Ammira gli edifici art déco e le grandi facciate dell'età d'oro del caffè di San Paolo. All'inizio del XX secolo, quest'area simboleggiava ricchezza, progresso e ambizione cosmopolita. Ci immergeremo nel modo in cui il caffè finanziava le infrastrutture, la cultura e i profondi contrasti sociali ancora oggi visibili.
Gesuiti e fondazioni - Qui è dove San Paolo è stata fondata ufficialmente nel 1554. Al Pátio do Colégio, scoprirai come i missionari gesuiti e i popoli Tupi-Guarani hanno plasmato le origini della città. Sotto la piazza si nasconde la tensione tra colonizzazione e resistenza, religione e potere.
Cattedrale neogotica - Sorge su un simbolico “ground zero”, la Cattedrale di Sé è una delle più grandi chiese neogotiche del mondo. Più che di architettura religiosa, è uno spazio di protesta, di aggregazione e di identità. Scopri il simbolismo urbano di questa struttura monumentale.

Excellent walking tour with Giuliano. It was a brisk walk through different neighbourhoods in the central antea and he offers a unique perspective, focusing on how people from diverse backgrounds came to live and co-exist in the same space. It was a great way to get a feel for the city and absolutely well worth the time and money.
Giuliano is an excellent guide; knowledgeable, passionate, engaging... He makes you want to do the walking tour over and over. I'd recommend him to anyone visiting Sao Paulo.

I traveled solo and was a bit stressed about it, so decided to book a tour to see São Paulo. My guide, Giuliano, made this tour an absolutely amazing experience. There were only three of us, and we didn’t know each other beforehand, and yet the whole thing felt very relaxed and friendly. So often guided tours can feel boring or overloaded with unnecessary facts, numbers, and dates, but this was completely different. Instead, it felt like taking a walk with a very intelligent friend. I’m truly grateful for such a memorable experience.
Good option to walk around downtown with a guide. Better than walking by yourself or doing a bus tour. But narration could still be improved.
