Short and brisk walking tour for 90 minutes and then on our own for 3 hrs. Enjoyed seeing The Sound of Music landmarks and had a nice lunch at Stiegl Keller restaurant. Don’t confuse the long line next to it which was for the funicular. So many people there at this time of year!
Just the right balance. 1+ hour walking tour then 3 hours to explore on our own. Great views, history, Mozart, architecture, Sound of Music, etc. Nick was on target as a guide, giving just the right amount of detail.

What a great tour to Salzburg. Markus was an excellent tour guide. He was personable and made this a great visit. The tour was a great mix of guided tour and free time. I would definitely recommend this tour for visitors to Munich seeking a day trip to Salzburg.

Fabulous tour & great value! Please know there is travel via pubic transit…both city bus & train. The train does make a number of stops along the route. Our guide made it a smooth travel experience both there & back. Our guide was Lucia & she was delightful! She shared history and architectural details and offered excellent budget sensible ideas of places to eat & what to do and what to skip. She spoke clearly and loud enough and was so friendly & personable. She was easy to follow through the busy areas and ensured we felt guided but could still make the trip our own. It was a great day in Salzburg!
