Animal pass and coffee/chocolate/cane sugar. Very beautiful educational day and excellent buffet on site not too expensive. The paper map they give you could be a little more precise. Big negative point: 2 small Gatorades cost me $9US at the shop and they were room temperature. Furthermore, they only accept US dollars.
My two grandchildren say this should be rated A+. We got to see the processes of the coffee and the chocolate being made and we got to taste both as well as the sugar cane chewing! The animal sanctuary was very very nice!
It was an extremely hot day and most of the animals were sleeping during the mid-day peak. But we managed to see a few, enjoyed the grounds, and the buffet lunch was good, especially the chicken. Not sure if just the animal part is worth a dedicated trek here – they also offer zip lines, ATVs, and more – but it was on our way from the coast to the Liberia airport.
We were a little confused how to find our way around but, we figured it out. Sad the parrots were not on display due to renovation of their habitat.
We visited the animal sanctuary, walked down to the beach, and did the cultural experience and learned about the growing, harvesting, and making of cacao, sugar cane and coffee. Everyone was VERY nice and helpful. The entire experience was educational and entertaining and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in the native animals and culture and sites of Costa Rica!
We met Lucy the sloth and watched her feeding during lunch. It was totally worth it. We took great photos. We moved at our own pace and enjoyed the beauty of wildlife. All the guides along the way were helpful and knowledgeable. Don't overlook the value of this sanctuary on your trip.
The experience was great. We saw all the animals and we saw Lucy get fed which was the highlight of the day. It was very hot but there was plenty of shade to help cool things down and for older adults the paths and steps are very easy to walk. All in all a great experience.
After hiking the cloud rainforest and seeing one butterfly, this place was perfect. We saw Morpho butterflies, monkeys 🐵, all types of birds, and finally sloths. It was very organized and the buses were wonderful climbing the hills so we didn’t have to. While we did not eat there, a lovely buffet was laied out along with a beautiful view.
We are so glad you enjoyed the animal sanctuary. Thank you for the review.
Despite the kindness of the staff, the visit was ordinary. The aviary of the toucans was being renovated, so we could only see them through a big thick and tight fence. The eco-centre is like a mini zoo, animals are in enclosures, behind fences and glass. You don't see them well, sometimes not at all. We saw that there was a suspension bridge, but we didn’t have access to it. It was very disappointing for the price. The frogs were hardly visible behind the fogged windows, the snakes even less so. I would not go back. I imagine for those who come with young children it can do it.
Merci pour votre commentaire. Nous sommes désolés de ne pas avoir répondu à vos attentes.
One of the best "tours" for your money in Costa Rica. The staff was professional and informative. We really enjoyed our time spent at the Eco Adventure Park. We spent 3 hours exploring native animals in their own habitat. Watching the feeding of the sloths and the crocodiles was a highlight of the experience. We never felt rushed or crowded, we took our time while engaging the staff who were very friendly. This tour is good for all ages.
Thank you so much for your five-star review of the animal sanctuary.
