PALAZZO BARBERINI: Sono ora esposti capolavori dei grandi maestri della pittura italiana e straniera, tra cui Raffaello e Caravaggio, e opere del Settecento che erano state a lungo conservate per mancanza di spazio. Includono opere di Batoni, Mengs, van Wittel, Canaletto e Carriera. Si segue l'itinerario che si conclude nella splendida Sala delle Colonne con la grande fontana di Bacco e le decorazioni naturalistiche che sembrano riflettere i giardini adiacenti. Questo gioiello, nascosto per oltre 50 anni dal Circolo Ufficiali, che lo utilizzava come cucine e per la conservazione degli alimenti, è stato aperto al pubblico dopo un bel restauro di Laura Cherubini.

If you like Caravaggio, you will not be disappointed but you will be treated to other world famous artists at a special gallery in Rome.
Bernini ekhibition fantastic. Permanent collection great. Tickets for Bernini was a wasted and tiring extra process. Cafeteria not enjoyable, too little cool shde, too few tables under trees.
The museum offers a view of Italian and other nationality painters from the 15th century to the mid-18th century.
Magnificent paintings of the 15th and Renaissance, well highlighted in a sumptuous setting. Particularly friendly and welcoming staff.
The gallery is fantastic, unfortunately during the visit to the Caravaggio 2025 Exhibition the staff put us in a hurry to get out. They should plan better the times of the entrance shifts also in view of the closing time.
This is NOT for the Caravaggio exhibition - does not work! Advertised as the ticket for Caravaggio. Arrived after LONG journey to find that it requires a second ticket and is sold out. Deserve refund for Trip Advisor shady business practices. Will never use Trip Advisor again.
I asked for a reservation for the Caravaggio exhibition and in obsolete form he had sold me the visit to the Barberini palace, which in good faith I believed was the access to the Mostra del Cara
Unfortunately, I can not recommend the mediation of the tickets of coopculture, I had to ask several times to get them and then find on site that it would not have been a problem, there was no queue, at the ticket office will pay significantly less money, instead of 30 € for 2 person 48 dollars is not okay! Even at the ticket office of the National Museum one was amazed, especially since not only we but also other couples had the same problem, we thought we had booked tickets for Caravaggio, we feel cheated. There was also no one to reach by phone who could have given us further information. So dear people, be careful.
Viator can cancel your tickets any time they want. They did it with mine 2 days before my entry date. Caveat Emptor!
It shows that I saw with my husband and his mother, during the month of April but we had purchased tickets at least a month in advance. It is not one of my favorite painters but the exhibition itself has been well set up and with exhaustive audio guide to take at the entrance, to be able to use it in front of each painting and then know the information inherent in the various paintings. Really very popular with both tourists and residents, perhaps also because we were there on Saturday. You can choose the visit round therefore the waits are not there. The exhibition takes place inside Palazzo Barberini which is located very close to the metro stop of the same name.
