Sulla Costiera Amalfitana, scivolerai lungo strade tortuose a strapiombo con ampie viste sul mare. Fermati a Positano per scattare le case-pastello che precipitano giù per le colline verso l'acqua e passeggia tra affascinanti boutique. Dirigiti ad Amalfi, dove il grande Duomo di Sant'Andrea domina Piazza del Duomo: la sua facciata decorata e i ripidi scalini rendono l'esplorazione rapida ma indimenticabile. Infine, sosta a villa Cimbrone a Ravello per sostare sulla Terrazza dell’Infinito, ammirando attraverso le cime degli alberi il mare ceruleo sottostante. È un turbine di colori, architetture e panorami mozzafiato.
Inizierai da Piazza Tasso, la vivace piazza principale di Sorrento: caffè, negozi, colori locali e la statua di Sant’Antonino. Quindi, passeggiata fino al Duomo di Sorrento (Cattedrale SS. Filippo e Giacomo) : ammirare la facciata ornata, le porte in legno intarsiato, i dettagli interni di epoca rinascimentale e la lastra tombale romanica con un leone ruggente che intaglia. Poi, scendi verso Marina Grande, il villaggio di pescatori sul mare: case-pastello, barche di legno che galleggiano in acqua, forse pescatori che sbarcano il loro pescato, il molo rustico, la brezza marina e ristoranti sul lungomare. Ammirerai panorami mozzafiato sulla baia – Napoli o il Vesuvio in lontananza, scogliere che si innalzano alle tue spalle, blu mediterraneo sotto i tuoi piedi. È un tour vorticoso: architettura, vita marina, sapore locale e quegli indimenticabili panorami costieri.
Si accede da ripide strade a serpentina; prima vista: case-pastello accatastate su scogliere, terrazze verde oliva, mare blu-verde che si allunga all'orizzonte. Dirigiti alla Spiaggia Grande, l'iconica spiaggia principale: ombrelloni, bar sulla spiaggia, barche che oscillano, gente che guarda. Passeggiate per vicoli stretti pieni di boutique piene di vestiti di lino, sandali fatti a mano, ceramiche color limone. Visita la Collegiata di Santa Maria Assunta, la sua cupola maiolicata che brilla al sole, arroccata sopra la spiaggia. Fermatevi in una caffetteria sulla terrazza per limoncello o sorbetto al limone servito in un limone fresco, mentre assorbete la brezza marina e il panorama sulla scogliera.

While happy with the communication before the tour, we walked out of this a bit less than impressed. The description of the tour, in our case, was just not accurate. First off, there was an unexpected stop at a limoncello factory en route to Sorrento. We have been here before, and it is little more than a high end gift shop with a view. Never have we ever seen any limoncello actually in production. Our free time in Sorrento was sufficient, and the meeting point and time were clearly given. More time in Sorrento would have been gladly welcomed over the limoncello factory. Next, we were supposed to visit and have free time in Positano. We did not. We saw Positano from an outlook above, and then hopped right back on the bus. On the bus, we were offered a boat trip at the “cheap price of 15 euro each” to take in Amalfi. Had we taken it, we would have had about 45 minutes free time in Amalfi. Yes, the town is small, but it’s crazy busy. We opted out of the boat tour, and had 2 hours on our own. I understand traveling and traffic from Sorrento to the Amalfi Coast is crazy, chaotic, and unpredictable. That being said, Viator (or WorldTours Italy?) should really amend the description of the tour. This amounted to a lot of driving, and no time in the one village we haven’t yet visited. Our guide, Marco, was okay. I know the itinerary is not his fault. Bruno, the driver, was fantastic. How anyone drives a bus in Italy is beyond me. :-)
Nick our tour guide was fantastic. We got to see all the places we wanted to and the restaurant he stopped at for lunch was excellent.
Rosy and driver Mareo were amazing. We stopped in Sorrento and saw how they made limoncello and got a free tasting. Lots of time to visit Positano and Amalfi. Recommend just grabbing a quick bite at a sandwich shop as not enough time for sit down lunch. We stopped along the road in a few places for photo opportunities. I highly recommend this tour and would go again.

We used Viator and were very disappointed. The bus driver & tour guide decided to not go to Positano because of traffic-whole reason us and other booked the tour was to go there. I requested a refund and was ignored no reply. I won’t use them again. And I’m sharing with anyone that asks about them about my experience and tell them not to use Viator.
Absolutely fantastic. Rosey our guide and Daniella our driver were great. We super lucked out with just the two of us on a 20 seater mini bus, so it turned out to be a private tour. First we drove to Sorrento and spent an hour wandering the shops adding weight to our luggage and having a limoncello spritz at a cafe. Fabulous scenery all around. Next we headed for Amalfi. Had 2 hours here so had a great seafood pasta and another limoncello, and adding more weight to our luggage. Cute town and busy waterfront. Not crazy busy yet so we couldn’t be happier.
The excursion was spectacular, the tour guide's name is Ana. She took us to wonderful places, told us everything related to the excursion, the history, and was very friendly. We recommend this excursion and our daughters loved it. The beautiful landscapes, the views, everything is wonderful.
We were greeted at the Salerno cruise port by Maria and taken to a bus driven by Giovanni(??). The bus was big and comfortable. They took a group of us first to Sorrento, then Positano, next Amalfi and last back to Salerno. Along the way was the beautiful Amalfi coast with lots of twists and turns and best defer to an experienced driver. Maria was the tour leader and explained history throughout the trip. We had some free time during the Positano stop so we visited the town and had lunch there. It was a very fun experience with Maria and Giovanni as our great tour guides. All in all, we really enjoyed this trip. The scenery was breathtaking!
Was a wonderful day despite the rainy weather. Marco is funny and knowledgeable and made sure we were all taken care of. Highly recommend this tour if you are in Salerno, Italy!
Mario was so attentive from the very beginning to the end of our tour. His personally, knowledge and humor made it more than we had imagined. He and the driver worked well together to accommodate us all. They were very polite and professional. This is one tour you should definitely take and hopefully your tour guide will be Mario!
