Il nostro tour ti porta attraverso alcuni dei punti salienti della città di Silves.Qui puoi vedere, ad esempio, il "Ponte Romana", l'antico ponte della città, il Castello Moresco, fino all'ex moschea dell'attuale cattedrale del città. Imparerai molti fatti interessanti e fatti storici sull'ex capitale dell'Algarve e sulla sua importanza storica. A seconda della situazione meteorologica, il nostro tour si snoda a sud/ovest lungo il Rio Arade verso Portimao oa nord verso Monchique. Il castello di Silves Fotopunkt (Un motivo uscito da una fiaba) Costruito sulla sommità di un colle nell'arenaria rossastra della regione, il castello, a pianta rettangolare irregolare, è costituito da una cinta muraria merlata con diverse torri a mezza altezza, ma una sola porta, davanti alla quale si trova una statua in bronzo del re Sancho I .
Il terremoto del 1755 distrusse la città così gravemente che 14 residenti furono uccisi nella cattedrale. La ricostruzione della città quasi completamente abbandonata, i cui edifici diroccati erano adibiti a cave, richiese più di un secolo

All'estremità orientale della città si trova la Croce del Portogallo, una croce alta circa 3 m in pietra calcarea chiara con motivi tardo gotici e manuelini. Cristo è raffigurato su un lato della croce e una pietà sull'altro. Si ritiene che sia stato creato nel XV secolo, ma la sua esatta provenienza è sconosciuta.
La diga di Arade (portoghese Barragem do Arade) si trova nel distretto di Faro, nella regione dell'Algarve in Portogallo. Argilla il fiume Arade a un bacino idrico (porto. Albufeira da Barragem do Arade). La città di Silves si trova a circa otto chilometri a sud-ovest della diga di Arade. A monte c'è la diga di Funcho. La diga di Arade fu costruita dal 1944 al 1956 durante il regno di António de Oliveira Salazar.[1][2] Viene utilizzato per l'irrigazione e, in misura minore, per la produzione di energia elettrica. La diga è di proprietà dell'Associação de Regantes e Beneficiários de Silves, Lagoa e Portimão.[3]

Felix was the consummate guide, driver and host of Silves! He gave us valuable insight on his village, and recommended other places in the Algarve. We enjoyed the tour very much, including the walkabout on his property, complete with fruit trees and beautiful shrubs and flowers. Obrigado, Felix!

110% recommend this company for any tours , had an absolute amazing day and got shown many “non tourist” spots that were very quiet , definitely worth every penny!
This was our first trip to Portugal and we stayed a few days in the Algarve and a few in Lisbon. We had a boat tour of the caves and it was more expensive and just ok. This Jeep tour of Silves was provided by Felix. He deserves 10 stars!!! He customized our private tour and showed us places we didn’t know we wanted to see; he also showed us around our Portimaou area a little. He spent an extra hour or two over with us.
Brilliant personalised tour! What a fantastic guy Felix is, he got us out of our hotel resort and on the tour at very short notice. Felix filled the tour with history, mountains, breathtaking views and an abundance of local knowledge just as requested. My kids absolutely loved the off-roading!! I’m so glad I looked online for a local tour and did not go through the holiday rep.

It was a great experience. You will see a lot of places and know things that you do not see and or find out compared to a large tourist organization. And you will also get great tips on which places you can visit from the local community. Felix (the tourguide) is a spontaneous cheerful man and does his job with great pleasure and passion. There are even beautiful action pictures taken.
We took the 3,5 hour buggy tour. It was really nice. Felix and his daughter luiza received us at their farmhouse where the buggy was ready for us. We took a tour around all nice places in the area. Felix could tell us a lot about the history of all places and also gave us some really good tips for going out.
Was a very nice tour, along mountain roads and beautiful nature. The owner was very friendly and took pictures for us during the tour.
