Inizierai il tour con la jeep e visiterai punti di riferimento come il villaggio abbandonato e secolare di Kuldhara, lo stagno di jessiri (oasi nel mezzo del deserto del Thar) prima di proseguire verso le dune dorate del deserto del Thar. È un'esperienza notturna nel deserto dove dormi all'aperto su dune di sabbia, senza un tetto sopra di te - solo il cielo aperto sotto le stelle. Lontano dalle luci della città, il deserto offre una vista incredibilmente nitida di stelle, costellazioni e talvolta anche della Via Lattea. Si raggiungono le dune con un safari in cammello di solito nel tardo pomeriggio Mentre il sole tramonta, c'è tempo per tè e snack, rilassarsi, scattare foto e godersi il silenzio. L'uomo cammello prepara cibo fresco tradizionale sul fuoco a legna, e dopo la cena dorme sotto le stelle e gode della notte stellata su charpais (culle) o materassi spessi. Calde coperte (le notti nel deserto possono diventare fredde, soprattutto in inverno). Silenzio profondo, rotto solo dai venti del deserto. La mattina seguente, dopo il tè, la colazione, tornerete al vostro hotel.

Secondo il folklore locale, il villaggio fu abbandonato durante la notte all'inizio del XIX secolo. Salim Singh, l'allora Diwan (ministro) di Jaisalmer, avrebbe cercato di sposare la figlia del capo villaggio. Quando gli abitanti del villaggio si rifiutarono, li minacciò con gravi conseguenze. Per proteggere il loro onore, gli abitanti del villaggio, insieme a quelli di 83 frazioni vicine, fuggirono, maledicendo la terra di rimanere desolata per sempre. Il silenzio inquietante del villaggio e le strutture abbandonate hanno alimentato numerose storie di fantasmi. I visitatori e gli appassionati del paranormale riferiscono di aver sentito voci, sentito improvvisi brividi e assistito a fenomeni inspiegabili. Nel 2013, una squadra paranormale con sede a Delhi ha affermato che il loro drone ha funzionato male sopra il villaggio, attribuendolo a interferenze soprannaturali.
Lo stagno di Jaseri funge da fonte d'acqua vitale per la fauna selvatica locale e gli uccelli migratori, rendendolo un paradiso per gli appassionati di natura e fotografi. Il laghetto è circondato da una vegetazione lussureggiante e da dune di sabbia, creando un ambiente pittoresco che contrasta con il terreno desertico circostante.

Very good experience with my friend. Highly recommend
It is a trip for a private party but you will be near other small camps or bigger clamping sites. This unfortunately reduces the feeling of being ‘alone in the desert’. The cook and his aid were very nice.
Unforgettable silent starry night in the desert! Excellent guide Ali told us a lot about the desert and the villages around Jaisalmer. Camel men Ganesh and Umed guided us on camels through the desert and Umed cooked delicious food for dinner and breakfast! They were all very kind and did their best to let us feel at home! Highly recommended!

Our time was great! We enjoyed the camel riding and played on the sand dunes. As it faded into night, we saw so many stars and sat around a small campfire. The beds were also very comfortable, and we all slept great. We traveled in early September and the weather was great. We were unsure if we were going to see any sand dunes, but as we got closer with the camels, we were not disappointed to find a fairly large dune for us to camp on. Overall, it was a great experience.

It was a wonderful experience with Desert Eagle safari. They were amazing hosts who took care of all our needs and were a very friendly accommodating staff. The package included camel safari and dune bashing along with cultural show and accommodation. Everything was very well done. It was absolutely a wonderful experience that I’ll never forget.

I recommend this activity for everybody and girls alone can feel very good and safe on this tour. The guys working there are very professionals, interesting and cool. They will take care of you and give you a good explanations about the local life and the local culture. The tour is amazing, excellent food and magic moments on the desert.

Wow ..I am short of words to describe my experience at thar dessert ..these guys are highly professional as compare to other safari tours . Well spoken and punctual . No hidden charges . They deliver exactly what they have mentioned in the package . Very safe for girls as I was traveling solo . I highly recommended . I come to know about desert eagle safari by Golden eagle hostel threw booking.com it was just awesome. I club with 10forighner group. Every thing was well arranged camel ride sun set star at mid night sun rise on dunes every part has it's own story. Team meals and arrangmets was wow thanks to desert eagle safari for sure will plan again with my friends.
