What a wonderful experience we had with Caribbean Winds! Knowledgeable and thoughtful guides made this a relaxing yet thrilling experience. We saw several trips of howler monkeys, and many lizards and birds. The ecological touches such as stopping to plant a tree to guard against erosion and serving us local and plucked from the tree (in front of us!) were the cherry on top of this fantastic river trip. Highly recommend!
What an amazing experience! These tour guides were top notch from the moment of pickup until the end. They took care of all the equipment, told us exactly what to do, and pointed out all the wildlife. We stopped to take pictures along the way and they helped us get the best shots. I love that we stopped to plant a tree and that a guide in the kayak picked up trash in the river. At the end we were treated to a fresh fruit buffet. This was such a good experience and well worth the money. 5 stars and more! 🤩
Amazing relaxing float down the river. We saw monkeys, sloths (even a baby), many birds, a few toucans. Two hours of pure joy. Our guides, George and Carlos, were fun and super informative and took good care of us. No rough waters. An occasional splash. Highly recommended.
I have done a handful of tours and by far this was the best one yet. I saw even more animals than I thought I would with the help of my amazing tour guides. I saw sloths, monkeys, a crocodile, so many different types of birds, and even a fish that flew out of the water. If I had to recommend one tour or activity in La fortuna I would recommend this one. Thank you again to my guides!!

We had an amazing 3-hour boat tour on the river! The local guides were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the wildlife and nature. They shared so much interesting information and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It was a beautiful trip, and we saw lots of wildlife in its natural habitat. Highly recommended – definitely one of the highlights of our trip!
Went in late June with Giovanni, Juan, Jorge and Fabian. Got lucky and saw a bunch of animals, including American croc, coati, lots of birds and monkeys. Water was pretty chill and they pick up right from the hotel. Barely rained and it wasn't hot either so that was good. Also got lucky since we saw a sloth along the way.
I was sick during the tour and needed to stop the boat and go into the jungle to go to the toilet but Juan was very helpful and helped me to get out of the boat quickly. All of the boys looked after me the whole time. The tour ended up being very good despite my sickness and we saw crocodile, monkeys, coati and lots of birds including Herron and vultures and even a sloth (on the way to the river).
