I didn't realize that we had to go to a separate location first to check in and have our guide walk us there. Once we figured that out, all was good.
we had not made any reservation n arrived at 10:10 on sunday morning. we waited for about 15min for security clearance. v nice walk there. free storage for my back pack.
You need to walk .5 miles pass the palace to get tickets at tourism office. The office vwas closed, hadvto call Viator who was able to get holdcl of the office persson who showed up 10 minutes later. Another half mile walk to palace. The audio tour was not the same the palace offers with headphones, but an app that you download on your phone, which was impossible to hear if you dont have earbuds. Skip this experience and buy tickets directly from palace websitw3
Hi, thank you very much for your review. We're really sorry but it is clearly stated in the product's terms and conditions that you must come to the office to collect your tickets. Also, it is specified that you must bring your own headphones for the audioguide which, in any case, works perfeclty fine without headphones. Kind regards.
We took a taxi to the pick up location. However, there is no street in front of the location. It is in a plaza up some stairs from street. the taxi let us out a block over and we had to find our way from there. When I booked online, my reservation was for 1PM. when I got to the pick up location, they told me that it was for 2:15 PM. there was no attempt to remedy the discrepancy. we took our time walking to the palace and security let us in a few minutes early. The rooms are beautiful. Some are air-conditioned, some are not. come prepared for heat. At the entrance is a large staircase that must be climbed to get to the quarters. However, we asked an attendant about an elevator and thankfully , they had one for a person with limited ability to climb stairs.
The visit was excellent and the guide we had, named Miguel, was very pleasant on the tour and explained everything to us in great detail and very clearly. It was a pleasant experience.
Very bad experience, it is not what the Viator tour offered. Upon arriving at the Royal Palace, they told us that the reservation number we brought was not valid, that we should go to the Naturanda office which was far away and it was too hot, bad service, they told us they did not have an audio guide and that we should see it at the palace office. They charged us an additional fee. It is not what the tour said, very dissatisfied with this service

got ticket confirmed and paid for, then got changed by ticket office but no update from trip advisor, had to sort out ourselves. ticket office very helpful and obliging. Would have been much easier without trip advisor so we know for next time.

It was fun to learn about spanish history
A very interesting tour. I learned a lot about the history of the Royal Palace and the purpose of the different rooms. The tour lasted about 1 hour and 15 minutes, which was the perfect length. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly enjoyed sharing his passion for the palace. Highly recommended!
