Le Rovine Maya di Chacchoben sono l'attrazione più popolare e visitata per trascorrere una fantastica giornata sulla Costa Maya. Dista circa 55 minuti in auto dal porto di Costa Maya. Questo sito si trova a pochi chilometri dalla cittadina di Chacchoben da cui deriva il suo nome. La traduzione della parola maya "Chacchoben" si riferisce a "Il luogo del mais rosso". Le strutture di questo sito sono caratterizzate da grandi templi ed enormi piattaforme risalenti al 700 d.C. C.

Quando arrivate al porto di Costa Maya, dopo essere sbarcati dalla vostra crociera, dovrete recarvi all'uscita principale dove si trovano i taxi gialli; lì abbiamo un mezzo di trasporto con il nostro logo e uno dei nostri autisti potrà portarvi direttamente al nostro ufficio dove effettueremo il check-in, dove aspetterete circa 15 minuti prima di partire per la vostra escursione e potrete gustare una bevanda gratuita, per poi recarvi alla vostra prima tappa al sito archeologico di Chacchoben, che impiegherà circa un'ora per arrivare.

Dal tuo arrivo al porto di Costa Maya sarai immerso nell'antica giungla che custodisce i grandi segreti di questa civiltà e che potrai scoprire. Al termine del tour, attraversate la magnifica città di Chacchoben. L'autista vi porterà alla Laguna de Siete Colores (Bacalar), che si raggiunge in circa 45 minuti. Qui potrete gustare un delizioso pasto locale e due bevande (alcoliche o analcoliche) incluse a persona; e potrete anche nuotare e apprezzare gli splendidi colori.
Dopo aver completato la visita del sito archeologico e aver goduto della nostra splendida laguna dai sette colori. L'autista vi riaccompagnerà al porto di Costa Maya, che impiegherà circa 1 ora e 45 minuti - 2 ore per arrivare.

Ruins were great! Saw some monkeys as well. Seven color Lagoon Baclar was amazing. Victor our guide brought us right to the perfect spot, lunch was great and the water was amazing
Toucan tours went beyond above and beyond. The lagoons were beautiful and a great break from people. Everything was very well planned. Food and drinks included were outstanding. We were so lucky to have Rual, he was so kind and helpful. Thank you!
We loved it ! Our guide was Huitzi and he was great ! He was really helpful and went out of his way to accomodate us. We loved the temple and the blue lagoon was beautiful. He made sure to bring us back way on time for our ship.

The tour was very efficient providing good directions for meeting spot just outside of cruise port. It’s about an hour plus drive by bus to and from the ruins with about an hour to see the ruins themselves… 3 areas. Best part we saw monkeys in the trees. The bus driver was very nice and brought delicious pineapples during the provided lunch. I have a gluten allergy and they were very accommodating. Lunch included tacos of choice of meat. I had mine with vegetables instead of the shells. The resort area by the lake is very nice and we got to relax, swim, and enjoy lunch there for about an hour in a half. Then another hour drive back to cruise ship. We had about 30-45 minutes post tour to walk back from bus drop off to cruise ship. We were a bit nervous but made it no problem. All in all a really nice day out if you want to see some ruins, learn about the past, and do not mind lots of driving. :)

Awesome shore excursion. Easy to find right outside the port. Directions were exactly as described. Met by friendly staff and were very welcoming. Driver was great and reliable. Tour guide was knowledgeable and made it entertaining. Lagoon was relaxing and lunch was excellent. Thank you for the great service and tour!

Tucán tours has a team of professionals who give envy. Good people, willing us to have a good time. In an 8 seater van, we went to the ruins of Chakkoben and the Laguna Bacalar. Huitzi, our Aztec driver and guide, with his kindness and professionalism led us to the adventure of the Maya and finally to the Laguna Bacalar, precisely in the Hotelito el Paraíso, where a rich Mexican lunch (fajitas) and a very good margarita awaited us. There was nothing Ke Huitzi could improve. He was fantastic. Hopefully they can get to know him and get carried away with him and that travel agency in general.

Our group of 4 adults and 4 boys aged 9-12 had a great tour of the ruins and 7 colours lagoon. The guides were friendly and informative and the lunch provided was higher-end than expected. Highlight for me was the pineapple from the fruit stand served with tajin and jalapeño powder.
