Esplora il Korouoma Canyon in inverno, noto per le sue cascate ghiacciate e le spettacolari formazioni rocciose che creano uno dei paesaggi naturali più caratteristici della Lapponia. Gestita da The Original Aurora Hunters®, Arctic GM è un'azienda a conduzione familiare con radici in Lapponia risalenti al 1600, che combina la conoscenza locale con un focus sulle escursioni guidate per piccoli gruppi. Dopo il prelievo, viaggerete alla Riserva Naturale di Korouoma, situata lontano da zone turistiche trafficate. L'escursione vi porta attraverso sentieri forestali e lungo il fondo del canyon, dove si formano cascate ghiacciate durante le condizioni invernali. Il ritmo è moderato, con il tempo di godersi il paesaggio, scattare foto e conoscere la geologia e la natura della zona. Durante l'escursione, vi fermerete per gustare un barbecue tradizionale lappone con bevande calde in un ambiente esterno tranquillo.

Itinerario
Inizia la tua esperienza con il pick-up a Rovaniemi e trasferimento alla Riserva Naturale di Korouoma, situata a circa 1,5 ore dalla città. All'arrivo, inizierete un'escursione guidata attraverso sentieri forestali che conducono nella zona del canyon. Il percorso passa attraverso terreni variegati, tra cui sentieri boschivi e sezioni lungo il fondo del canyon. Durante l'escursione, visiterete aree in cui si sviluppano cascate ghiacciate e formazioni di ghiaccio durante l'inverno. Il percorso esatto viene scelto dalla tua Guida in base alle condizioni attuali. La passeggiata è a passo moderato e costante, con soste regolari per godersi il paesaggio, scattare foto e riposare. A metà dell'escursione, vi fermerete in un sito designato per gustare un barbecue tradizionale lappone con bevande calde. Dopo aver completato l'escursione, trasferimento di ritorno a Rovaniemi. La durata totale è di circa 6-7 ore.

The frozen water tour in Rovaniemi was an amazing winter wonderland experience. Walking across the frozen landscape felt magical, and the barbecue in the snow made the whole trip even more special. A simple, beautiful, and unforgettable adventure.
I had an incredible time! The guide and driver, Victor, truly went above and beyond to ensure everyone was safe and happy. Because the snow was melting a little, some parts of the hike were rather slippery, but Victor was very patient – he waited for everyone and offered help whenever it was needed. He was also a fantastic photographer, even lying down in the snow to get the best angles for our photos. Aside from the stunning views (the frozen waterfalls and the red river – just wow!), I learnt quite a bit about the geological formations and the flora and fauna around the canyon. And during the hike, Victor and our group picked up loose studs that had fallen off other hikers’ traction cleats. It felt so good to help preserve the environment, even in small ways! To top it all off, the BBQ was a nice touch. It was simple but cosy, set in a beautiful spot, and provided warming food after the hike. Highly recommend this tour and Victor to anyone visiting Rovaniemi!

Our day tour to Korouoma was beyond amazing! Our guide Natalia was outstanding leader and organiser. She kept the spirit of the group so high, she was smiling and welcoming us all. She gave us confidence and was unstoppable and full of energy I love every minute of this tour. Would repeat over and over again
We went to Frozen Falls with William and honestly, it was above all expectations. He shared a lot of interesting information about the area, which made the whole experience even better. He was super helpful on the tricky icy paths, and you can really see he cares about what he does. The waterfalls are incredible—definitely a unique adventure.

She was very informative on our excursion. She was helping us capture this moment,offered ta take us pictures to take home with us. We had a fantastic day. The hike was so beautiful and well suited for us as beginners with medium fitness levels. The frozen waterfalls are very impressive. Our guide Bruno showed us some vantage points that we would not have found on our own and gave us a lot of knowledge. Vegan sausages were also organised on request for the barbecue.
