Il deposito d'arte (a specchio) di Boijmans van Beuningen, con altri luoghi nel quartiere dei musei. Qui potrete conoscere tutti i musei e la Terra di Hoboken.
Het Scheepvaartkwartier (quartiere dello shopping) è un gioiello nascosto del centro della città esterna; un luogo di cui molti Rotterdammers nemmeno conoscono. Qui potrete sperimentare la sensazione aperta e ampia di questa bellissima città portuale! Dal lato del fiume Maas, potrete vedere Hotel New York, Steam Ship Rotterdam e Erasmusbrug.
Il ponte Erasmus è il grande ponte bianco, che attraversa il fiume Mosa (Maas) e collega nord a sud. È un'icona della città e qui sentirete tutto sulla Seconda Guerra Mondiale, l'invasione e il bombardamento di Rotterdam.
Nel Distretto Marittimo si trovano molte barche ultime del loro genere che invecchiano oltre 100 anni. Cammineremo attraverso questo museo a cielo aperto, e vi sentirete come se foste tornati indietro nel tempo!
Una delle statue più importanti della città di Rotterdam per quanto riguarda la seconda guerra mondiale, a Piazza 1940, con un sacco di significato e storia.
La Casa Bianca è un'icona storica ed era la torre per uffici più alta d'Europa!
Il vecchio porto è uno dei porti più antichi dei Paesi Bassi e anche molto accogliente! Da qui, abbiamo una splendida vista delle case cubiche, che vedremo da vicino alla nostra prossima fermata!
Le case a cubo potrebbero essere uno dei luoghi turistici più famosi della città. Mentre camminiamo per la strada delle case cubiche (Overblaak), tou imparerà tutto sul perché, il come e l'architettura. Camminerete attraverso la 'foresta di cemento' sulla strada per la piazza del mercato.
Dopo aver visitato la piazza del mercato, termineremo il tour all'interno del Markthal. Questo ha reso Rotterdam molto famosa ed è un moderno mercato al coperto con un sacco di cibo e colori! La chiamiamo anche la nostra moderna Cappella Sistina, e scoprirete perché!

Our guide was excellent! His knowledge and enthusiasm was very impressive. As a local growing up in Rotterdam he had unique perspective of the city. He spoke very well and had extensive knowledge of the unusual architecture and history. His visual aids and photographs explained things so well and added to the experience.

Yoreh was one of the best tour guides we have had the pleasure of experiencing on a guided walking tour of a city. He was knowledgeable, funny, and provided us a general overview of the evolution of Rotterdam over several centuries. His enthusiasm about Rotterdam was genuine. He also had many illustrations and pictures showing the development of the early city, before and after pictures of the city after the WWII bombing, and future development plans. He brought Rotterdam to life for us.

Lots of history of the Netherlands and especially Rotterdam. If you are interested in WWII, this is for you! Also architectural highlights old and new.

Fabulous! We had a group of 8 with Elmer providing the tour. He was great! Very knowledgeable and interesting. The pace was perfect with a nice little break in the middle of the tour. We saw old, new and water sections of Rotterdam.

This was a really great tour overall and introduction to Rotterdam. If it's your first time visiting (or if you have visited before, but haven't really explored), I'd recommend it to get your bearings straight and to introduce you to the city. Our guide (Elmer) was not only very informative, but he was ready to listen to questions and answer it thoroughly. I had a lot of questions about not only the history of Rotterdam, but about the culture and he couldn't have been more helpful. He also told me about the newly opened Dutch Photography museum, which upon his recommendation, I went to visit a couple of days after the tour. I definitely recommend taking this tour if you have the chance to do so!
