With us you’ll have the chance to explore and discover the city with the comfort of a luxury Mercedes Vehicle, and to learn more about the Roman History and culture, without the stress and the fatigue of the walking. During your Roman Countryside and Lakes tour you’ll discover what’s around the Eternal City! The countryside part with Albano lake and Nemi lake is really nice, peaceful and with lovely little town such as Castel Gandolfo, the village where the Pope’s has his summer estate, such as Frascati, the village with main roman people has the summer estate and many farmhouses with the production of wines “the Frascati” Wine, such as Nemi, the village of strawberries and so on. This land is well known for food and wine, and the specialties and excellent. Therefore, this tour includes also a tasting lunch with wine tasting in a typical restaurant of the Roman Countryside!

Itinerario
Your day tour will begin when your English Speaking Driver will pick you up directly at your accommodation In Rome. You will be chauffeured through the Roman Countryside, a rural area renowned for the typical little towns, the gorgeous views and the delicious cuisine. Your first stop of the day will be Frascati. The little town, renewed for Its astonishing white wine, it’s a remain of the Roman times and is full of ancient Roman and Medieval Villas. Furthermore, from the center of the town you’ll be able to fully enjoy a stunning view over the Roman Countryside!
Along the way to reach Castelgandolfo, you’ll have a stop in San Nilo’s Abbey in Grottaferrata!
Your driver will chauffeur you to the lovely Castel Gandolfo. You will start with a stop near the enchanting lake named after the Town. After the stunning view, you will be chauffeured to one of the most renewed restaurants in the area, where you’ll indulge in a traditional wine tasting with tasting lunch! You will taste 4 local wine in the restaurant, with the aid of a Licensed Sommelier at your disposal during the tasting. The Sommelier will explain you the history and the features of the local wine, that will be accompanied by food.
Spend some time in Castel Gandolfo and then continue your tour to Nemi, another hidden lovely town famous for strawberries.
Get on board again with your English Speaking driver, ready to be chauffeured to the ancient town of Albano. In the Town you’ll have some time to discover the lovely Villa Doria-Pamphilj, a Medieval villa covered in green. After the last stop, you will ahead back to Rome, directly to your accommodation.

This tour/driver was among the top trips on our 2-month trip. We stopped at the Pope’s summer retreat and gardens which were both interesting and lovely. This stop was followed by lunch/wine tasting and was incredible (if you want to finish, pace yourself … everything was so good). After Lunch we went to Nemi for a walk around the village. This tour was more of a driver with brief explanation and tour on your own type, which we loved! We did this tour on our last day in Rome. We asked the tour operator if we could be picked up at one hotel and dropped off at another, which they accommodated for a small stipend. The morning of our tour we checked out of our hotel in Rome, the driver took our luggage, and dropped us off at our airport hotel at the end of the tour. The perfect end to our glorious vacation.
