Descrizione

Interesting visit

Small neighborhood called Jewish ghetto, very characteristic. We also visited the synagogue and the guide was very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of information that we did not know.

Great synagogue and Jewish area of Rome

Informative, interesting, s lot of walking but worth it. Claudia was knowledgeable and made sure we were clear and understood what she was saying. Very interactive.

Good tour

A nice tour with a knowledgable tour guide. Our family of four enjoyed our day. Make sure to leave time for a meal in the kosher strip.

Insight to a community.

Manuela was so thoughtful and had great knowledge of the area and its history. We were astounded mixing the contrast of eras against a 2000 year old back drop. A sad but educational experience.

Worths a visit

Worths a visit as you can access both a small museum and a guided tour to the synagogue. There are guided tours in English and Italian every one hour per language, included in the price of the ticket. I think 11 euros for a ticket is too much but the personnel is very polite so ok 🤷🏼‍♀️

Excelelnt Tour of Jewish Synagogue

Loved seeing the Jewish museum and touring the synagogue. It was beautiful and the guide gave us great information about the Jewish experience during WWII. The items in the museum were very interesting. Also Toured the Jewish quarter - very busy on a Sunday..

To see

A visit not to be missed, also because the synagogue is not always open, today we took advantage of it, the visit to the synagogue should be carried out with a guide, available at fixed times, free with the museum ticket. I discovered curiosities unknown to me, such as that in synagogues do not carry out funerals is forbidden by the Jewish religion, funeral services are done directly in the cemetery.

Interesting and nice

We first visited the Jewish Museum that is within the same structure of the synagogue. A Rome Pass card gave us a discount of 3 euros on the entrance to the museum (the free entry we took advantage of in another museum). There were a few people besides us in the museum, but it was still pleasant and not crowded. Then we took part in a short tour of the synagogue, we received a 10-minute explanation of the synagogue and the community, in English.
