Marco was an amazing driver and guide. You could feel his love of the city of Rome with his stories and explanations of all that we would see. He always took care of us and shared great tips on visiting Rome. Working with Julia planning the trip through many emails showed the companies care in making sure that we had the perfect tour from the time they picked us up at the ship to the after noon drop off at our hotel.

What a tremendous experience! From dealing with the professional staff on booking, changes, billing, confirmations and reconfirmations I can not find one thing to complain about. Then, our tour guide/driver Maurizio was fantastic! From his professional pick up to his driving throughout Rome to his recommendations on what to see, for how long to what to eat for lunch was right on the money! BRAVO to the whole team!

Rome on your own is easy. Stayed around the old town area and walked the entire area. We have been to Rome 3 prior times with a cruise and did the basic tours. We decided to do 5 days and our own schedule. Easy Walking to entire sites. Many we missed before. The only suggestion is if there is anything in the area, you must visit book tickets directly ahead as many days sell out. Coliseum, Forum, Vatican and Garden Museum, etc. We were happy just seeing the sites. Many which you can enjoy free. Pack water and be sure to try the local foods. Easy train ride from Port, which drops you off only a few blocks away. Traffic is busy, so walking around will get you most places faster. So much to see.
