Dopo aver scoperto la storia del ponte con la tua guida privata, entrerai a Castel Sant'Angelo e ammirerai lo sviluppo storico di questo importante luogo che è stato prima tomba romana, poi residenza papale, fortezza, prigione e campo di esecuzione, e attualmente un museo che offre una delle viste più incredibili sulla città di Roma. Il Castel ha anche ispirato diversi scrittori e registi, ad esempio Dan Brown nel suo best seller "Angeli e demoni" Salirai in cima all'edificio fino alla terrazza, dove godrai di viste mozzafiato su Roma e di un luogo ideale per i selfie.
Ponte Sant'Angelo, originariamente Ponte Elio o Pons Aelius, è un ponte romano a Roma, in Italia, completato nel 134 d.C. dall'imperatore romano Adriano (Publius Aelius Hadrianus), per attraversare il Tevere dal centro della città al suo mausoleo di nuova costruzione, ora l'imponente Castel Sant'Angelo. Il ponte è rivestito di marmo travertino e scavalca il Tevere con cinque arcate di cui tre romane; vi si accedeva per mezzo di una rampa dal fiume. Il ponte è ora esclusivamente pedonale e offre una vista panoramica su Castel Sant'Angelo. Collega i rioni di Ponte (che prende il nome dal ponte stesso), e Borgo, a cui il ponte appartiene amministrativamente.

Decent tour guide & great views, but this tour did not WOW me like so many others and it was expensive.

This was one if our favorite tours in Rome. Our guide was wonderful - so much knowledge and he clearly loved the Castel and its immense history. We thought we had the best views of the city from the top of Castel. Our guide was a fantastic photographer and ensured we left with some amazing photos. I highly recommend this tour. This location has some fascinating history and has played such an important role in Rome’s defense over hundreds of years. I can’t imagine trying to navigate this site on my own. We are so thankful we booked this tour.
