Salta il traffico cittadino bloccato e gli autobus turistici affollati. A soli 40 minuti dalle famose spiagge di Rio si trova una natura selvaggia protetta Patrimonio dell'Umanità dell'UNESCO dove la fitta chioma della giungla blocca il caos della città. Questo è un viaggio frenetico per piccoli gruppi progettato per mostrarti il lato selvaggio di Rio senza la folla. - Sperimenta l'energia grezza: mettiti alla base di Cascatinha Taunay - una ruggente cascata di 115 piedi e la cascata più alta del parco (non è consentito nuotare). - Esplora un record nazionale: Avventurati all'interno della storica Bat Grotto, la più grande formazione di grotte di gneiss in Brasile. - Viste da cartolina senza folla - Ottieni viste ampie e perfette di Cristo Redentore, Pan di Zucchero, Copacabana, Ipanema e lo skyline di Rio. - Nessuna esperienza necessaria: camminate per 2,5 km su sentieri sicuri e ombreggiati a un ritmo di gruppo confortevole e rilassato, adatto alla maggior parte dei livelli di fitness. - Include il trasferimento di andata e ritorno in un comodo veicolo AC. Itinerario
La nostra destinazione iniziale è Mirante das Canoas, uno splendido punto panoramico che offre viste sulle montagne Pedra da Gavea e Pedra Bonita, nonché sul quartiere di Sao Conrado. Dopo una breve sosta, procederemo direttamente al Parco Tijuca, a soli 15 minuti di distanza.

Assisti alla maestosa cascata di Taunay, la più alta di Rio, che precipita da grandi altezze e offre un'atmosfera serena nel cuore della foresta pluviale.
La nostra prossima tappa è Cachoeira das Almas - un'escursione di 30-40 minuti attraverso il cuore della foresta pluviale di Tijuca. Mentre cammini più in profondità nella giungla, la chioma si chiude sopra di te, filtrando la luce del sole in pozzi dorati attraverso il fondo della foresta. Ascolta i tucani sopra di te, guarda i bradipi sugli alberi e tieni d'occhio le scimmie cappuccine che sfrecciano tra i rami. Il terreno è dolce, si snoda attraverso l'antica foresta pluviale atlantica dove l'aria è densa di umidità e canto degli uccelli - e il suono lontano dell'acqua che scorre diventa più forte ad ogni passo. Poi la cascata si rivela: cascata di montagna cristallina, circondata da una vegetazione lussureggiante e da una tranquillità assoluta. Entra e lascia che la foresta pluviale faccia il resto. A seconda della stagione, possiamo invece visitare Cachoeira Diamantina — ugualmente sbalorditiva, ugualmente indimenticabile.

The guide Victor was very knowledgeable and attentive. He made sure he communicated with all members on the home . We got a pretty good idea of the Tijuca Forest and its vastness . The vegetation. We were lucky to see a sloth and a monkey . The hike to a cave was great and impressive. It was a quick paced3hours but very enjoyable.
Samuel, our tour guide went over and beyond our expectations. The hike was challenging for me but his assistance made it easier for me to complete the tour. I will definitely recommend him to my family and friends. A big shout out to you, Sam👏👏👏

Two hours of the Tijuca Forest hiking was gruelling for a late 50’s old woman like me😂 but I enjoyed it so much that I would not hesitate doing it again. It was my first time doing this and honestly, I almost gave up during the second phase of the mountain climb but thanks to Victor our lovely Tour Guide who made the hike so enjoyable & seemingly effortless. He was so friendly, extremely helpful, polite and more importantly, very knowledgeable about the Tijuca Forest. A huge thanks to the professional Tour Driver as well who drove us (myself, my two children & the other tourists on the tour van) safely to the top of the scary mountain😀 for the Forest hike and likewise made sure we were safely back down the daunting mountain. Much appreciation to all the Itaway Tours staff who did a great job by making sure that the hike was an unforgettable positive experience for my children and I. Communications to me from the Tour Company prior to the hike was outstanding. Constantly kept me informed about our hike even before we left our country for Brazil, a few days before the day of the hike when we arrived in Rio de Janeiro and on the actual hike day. The slight negative part of this tour was that at the ‘last minute’, the Tour Company did not fulfil their responsibility of picking my children and I up at our Hotel and dropping us off back there after the tedious hike we had had even though this service was included in my payment. Well despite this letdown, I would not hesitate booking other activities or even the Forest hike again with Itaway Tours if I should visit amazing Rio de Janeiro- Brazil again. Thanks Team!!

One of the best hiking experience we’ve had. My wife described the forest as the most beautiful forests she has been to ..The plush tropical vegetation as well as the birds and even slots! were great. Our guide, Eric, was very knowledgeable, giving us a nice introduction to different details of the forest, caves, and waterfalls. Even brewed some coffee for us! Highly recommended.

An excellent tour from start to finish, very well organized and totally enjoyable. A special thanks to our guide, Víctor, for his great attention and professionalism; furthermore, he shares excellent tips on where to eat in Rio and very useful recommendations to enjoy the city. During the tour I would have liked to see a little more wildlife, although I perfectly understand that that is out of the guides' reach and depends on nature. Aside from that detail, the experience was excellent and 100% recommended.

Wonderful trip! It was our first full day in Rio and Lucas did such a great job taking us around the park. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the park and the animals in it on top of being a phenomenal photographer. We saw plenty of wildlife on the tour, including a sloth, a toucan (from a distance), a monkey, and a coati. While the forest was lively, I am not entirely sure the noises we heard were actually birds or Lucas’ fantastic imitations as he tried to draw them out. It was winter so we didn’t see the waterfalls in their full glory, but they were still impressive and getting to stand under one was quite refreshing. We ended the day at the Chinese Viewpoint and got to see a beautiful view of the city. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in experiencing the wildlife around Rio.
