My family and I recently did this tour and absolutely loved it! We saw a lot of wildlife and our guide (Dayro) was extremely helpful in spotting them and helping us take pictures. We learned so much and enjoyed having a private tour where everything was taken care of and thought of in advance. Highly recommend!
We spent 11 hours with our guide, Dayro, and enjoyed every minute! He drove us safely to all our destinations in a timely manner. He hiked for three hours in the rain, helped us spot many wildlife and taught us about CR culture and food along the way. We would highly recommend him and look forward to doing more tours with him in the future!
León was our tour guide and we enjoyed the whole trip. We got lots of cool photos of the waterfall and very cool photos and videos of the wildlife. The car ride was comfortable and both guides were knowledgeable about the wildlife and area.
On The Road Costa Rica was great. The pick up was on time and the driver was very informative. The waterfall was beautiful and the water was so refreshing, didn’t want to leave. Will definitely book with them again.
Dayro picked us up promptly at 6:30 am in front on our condo in Tamarindo. The drive was about 2.5 hours, but we had good conversation, stopped along the way for coffee and pastries, and got a little sleep while he drove. The national park wasn’t too busy, and we made the hike to the Rio Celeste waterfall pretty quickly. After that, we saw hot springs, a blue lagoon, and the coolest thing we’ve ever seen in nature—the spot where the river turns from brown to bright blue. Amazing! Along the way, Dayro pointed out sloths, howler monkeys, snakes, toucans, and all kinds of cool plants. The hike was intense but totally worth it. Afterward, he took us to see sloths closer than we’ve ever seen one before at a wildlife preserve area near the park. Lunch was fantastic. He helped us decide what to order and made the whole day smooth and productive. Tips: Bring ponchos, extra water, and dry socks/a change of shoes. Definitely recommend!
Stefanie and her team were timely and so amazing, highly recommend them for tours and transportation in Costa Rica
They were waiting for us at the airport and communicated well. Easy and safe drive to hotel. Then there were early for our return to the airport with a good driver.
We had an amazing tour with our guide, Dayro! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and great at spotting wildlife we would have missed on our own. Rio Celeste Waterfall was stunning, and the Sloths and Wildlife Sanctuary was a highlight. We saw eyelash viper snakes, a tree frog, and even an anteater! The van was very comfortable for the long ride, and the food was great as well. Highly recommend this tour—Dayro made our tour unforgettable.
Dayton did a great job taking this mom and two teenagers out to see monkeys, sloths, and the beautiful rainforest. The lunch was also excellent!
We saw 2 sloths, one from the back high up in a tree, and one in a tree a little closer. We saw 2 frogs, 2 snakes and a few birds. I was expecting a lot more wildlife and a longer experience in the jungle! The guide was helpful but our van driver actually knew more than the guide about the wildlife. The hike was nice, but it was a very gentle walk in the woods and we could only see the waterfalls from a distance. The van was clean and comfortable but it took over 2 hours each direction. It was a very expensive day.
We can’t have animals tied to a tree, it’s actually illegal to manipulate wildlife so no there isn’t much we could do about it. We specified that it would be 2 and a half hours of driving; I don’t know why they’re complaining now. That’s why it’s better to get informed before booking.
