Votata regolarmente come la più bella città d'Irlanda, Killarney è la porta d'accesso al Ring of Kerry e alla penisola di Dingle. Attraversa Killorglin, la casa dell'antica festa celtica Puck Fair. Risalente al 1613., questa è una delle feste più antiche del mondo in cui una capra viene incoronata re del villaggio e posta su un piedistallo per 3 giorni nel mese di agosto di ogni anno. La gente viene da ogni parte del mondo per rendere omaggio alla capra e godersi le feste delle bancarelle, della musica e molto altro. Questa sezione del tour ti porta lungo la parte del famoso percorso di guida "Ring of Kerry".
Ci godiamo un giro panoramico lungo alcune parti della famosa penisola di Dingle. Ci fermiamo per le foto lungo il tragitto con viste mozzafiato sulla baia di Dingle, sulle rocce di Skellig, sulla spiaggia di Inch e sul Ring of Kerry. Pittoresco paesino che domina la baia di Ballinskelligs con la sua bellissima spiaggia, famosa per le rocce di Skellig con il loro monastero paleocristiano. Visitatore abituale, Charlie Chaplin amava Waterville e quindi la statua in suo onore, inaugurata nel 1998. È anche sede di uno dei migliori club di golf d'Irlanda e il più famoso calciatore Mick O'Dwyer e Mick O'Connell.
Facciamo una sosta nel suggestivo villaggio di Sneem. Questo è uno dei villaggi più colorati e affascinanti dell'Irlanda. Con due piazze e un bellissimo ponte nel mezzo del villaggio, qui il fiume Sneem incontra le correnti della baia di Kenmare. Uno dei parchi nazionali più belli e ammirati al mondo, il parco nazionale di Killarney è stato il primo nel suo genere stabilito in Irlanda nel 1932. Con una magnifica vista sui laghi di Killarney e Black Valley, il parco ti dà l'opportunità di goderti una passeggiata in questo fantastico paesaggio e trascorrere del tempo a passeggiare lungo i laghi.
Torc Waterfall è una cascata alta 18 metri che si riversa attraverso il Frier Glenn. Ci fermiamo in questo magnifico sito naturale di bellezza. Goditi una breve passeggiata e magari anche vedere i cervi rossi, noti abitanti del parco nazionale di Killarney. La cascata ha un sentiero escursionistico pubblico che si estende fino alla cima del Monte Torc.
Ritorniamo a Limerick dopo aver goduto della vista sulla strada più famosa in Irlanda. Rientro alle 19.00 circa

The tour was very nice, but the driver practically forced us to have lunch at the restaurant he indicated, in a great hurry because there was a line and at a certain point the food ran out; without even leaving us time to take a couple of photos after lunch.
It was so fun and it’s the best way to see everything without being overly expensive! We went around the ring of Kerry and stopped in towns like sneem and Waterville and Killarney national park
I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see a lot of Ireland with limited time to do so! The landscape we saw is indescribable!! I’d recommend taking the horse cart through Killarney National Park too! (If you’re hesitant due to the treatment of the horses, like we were, we were told they take 2 trips a day and only work 2 days a week.)
This tour did not disappoint! Aside from having perfect weather, our drivers were extremely knowledgeable and made the trip a lot of fun for everyone. Both of them, Sean (I believe) and Connor, made the trip twice as great! My husband uses a walker and before we even got off the bus at the designated stops, it was waiting for him at the bottom of the exit steps.
Conor and Michael were lovely guides, made a point of showing us some fantastic things and had wonderful banter besides. Well worth the day, and what stunning scenery.
We loved this tour!!!! We got to get out of the city and see the beautiful countryside and eat at a delicious tavern. We also had time to shop - very important!!!! And our driver did a wonderful job narrating along the way. Totally worth it!!!!
All in all, a day full of beautiful impressions and places. Except for the driver who picked us up and drove us back from Limerick, everyone was friendly and respectful.
Plan for a long day but a day that is so worth it! There are plenty of bathroom breaks so stay hydrated. We had DJ and Michael as our guides and they were excellent! Fun and knowledgeable and completely adept driving the narrow roads. They also provided wonderful commentary, history, fun facts, and music along the way. It was a great day!
The first bus that picked us and up in Limerick was very dirty. There was blood on the window and the food trays were filthy. But the next bus that we were disembarked off the first bus to go on the second bus was very clean and like I said, the scenery was beautiful. It was treacherous driving. Our guide was from Croatia and people just could not understand him.
I would skip the tour bus tour to Ring of Kerry. Get a personal guide or rent a car instead. The entire trip was EXTREMELY rushed. You don’t get much time at any of the places you stop at and hardly enough time to explore. The most time we had was at the start in Killarney National Park but not at the park itself, more like waiting around to get on the horse and carriage ride (you pay a separate 16 Euros). We didn’t even get to all the places the tour said we would stop at. Also, as typically the case, they tell you to eat and shop at certain places because the guides either get a commission or a freebie. I would have rather we stopped and spent a bit more time at 2 places on the Ring than make these short max of 15-20 min stops. I also didn’t get to explore Killarney on the way back from the trip because of the traffic from Bike Fest. The bus also did not have a charging port for the new iPhone type like some other tour buses had.
