Being able to see wild mustangs in such a setting was very special. Our group was fortunate in that we were able to observe them in a close range. I cannot recall our guide’s name, but he was originally from NY. He was full of information about the mustangs and also about the area. He was very respectful of the mustangs when they blocked the road as we were leaving by waiting patiently for them to move on their own.He made sure we had the photos we wanted. I had originally signed up for the evening tour, but minimum number of people did not sign up and was offered a place in the morning tour.Very happy I did not miss this experience.
Thank you, glad your tour with Steve went well. Those mustangs are an amazing sight to see in the wild.. safe travels
We got to see both bands of horses. We saw the Whistle Creek herd very close up & we stayed there for a while. We had to walk a good distance and our guide was very patient with me, as I have knee & back issues. He provided a lot of information on the horses & the area. He also answered all of our questions. It was a very nice morning& I’m so happy I got to share my love of horse with my family in a unique way! Thank you for providing this adventure!
Glad your Mustang tour went well and met your expectations. Steve is a great guide. Thank you.
Steve was our guide, and he was fantastic. He explained the history of the ponies, the ranking system and Friends Of A Legacy and their support of the wild horses. We were able to see the wild horses within the 100 yard limit something me and my family will not forget. My son has some mobility issues and Steve made sure he was safe but still able to get to all the amazing views. Yes you can go out there by yourself, but dirt roads are a maze and you will likely spend most of your time trying to figure out where you are. The roads are trails and most are not maintained, expect a bumpy ride. Steve does his best to avoid the worst of it and honestly it’s not that bad. Enjoy the experience I would do this again in a heartbeat.
Thank you, Steve knows his way around out there and knows the mustangs very well. Safe travels.
Seeing the wild horses up close was great. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The ride was comfortable.
Glad everything went well on your tour. Safe travels.
It had rained the night before so we werent sure we would get to see these beauties. Our guide new right where to start looking and found part of the herd without much trouble. Having someone who knows the area really weel was worth every penny. Loved the stories and folklore too!
Appreciate the nice reply. Steve is knowledgeable about the area and has found the mustangs 100% of the time for 2 years now. Thank you.
Our guide, Steven, was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable about Cody and the mustangs. We heard history of Cody and then background of the mustangs. He named a few and told us their history. And then he found one of the herds and we stood for a while and watched the herds behaviors. Really neat to watch and photograph.
Glad you enjoyed your tour. Steven knows how to find them and is knowledgeable about the area.
Our guide, Steven, was excellent. He was knowledgeable about everything in the area. We would have never spotted the horses if we drove ourselves.
Thank you for the kind reply. Safe travels.
Was a great time seen 2 different groups of horses. Our guide Steve was very knowledgeable about the horses and habitat. We were very close to one group of horses so we were able to get some spectacular photos.
Thank you for writing a nice reply. Steve has been batting a thousand when it comes to finding the mustangs for 2 years now.
We left out on the 8:00 am tour. The weather was cool, but quickly warmed up. Our tour guide took us to the watering hole and we were able to see the herd up close. It was an amazing experience. Wear hiking shoes - you will be walking and there are cacti - those little boogers hurt.
Steve knows how to find the horses out there. Glad you enjoyed the tour with us. Safe travels.
Great time our guide Steven did a fantastic job. We saw both herds it was a moving sight and fortunate to see them all
Thank you for the kind reply. Steven does his best finding the mustangs .
