Apprezzerete l’atmosfera ravennate e vi sentirete parte della storia. Visita della Basilica bizantina di San Vitale, del Mausoleo romano di Galla Placidia, della Basilica di Sant'Apollinare Nuovo costruita dal re Teodorico, della Tomba del maggiore poeta Italiano Dante Alighieri. Avrai la possibilità di entrare in un laboratorio di mosaico, fare una pausa caffè in un caffè tranquillo e vedere la cripta allagata della Basilica di San Francesco. Il tutto con una Guida turistica locale appassionata ed esperta.

Vi introdurrò all'arte e alla storia bizantina mostrandovi e descrivendovi i meravigliosi mosaici della basilica.
Vi presenterò il periodo romano a Ravenna e sarete completamente fusi nei mosaici ispirandovi al cielo stellato come Cole Porter che poi scrisse la sua famosa canzone Night and Day. Passeggiando nel centro della città da un monumento all'altro.
Vi mostrerò la suggestiva cripta della chiesa. Passeggiata in centro città tra un monumento e l'altro.
Vi racconterò la storia di Dante Alighieri e le vicissitudini delle sue ossa nei secoli.
Scoprirai l'arianesimo e la cappella del palazzo di Teodorico, il re degli Ostrogoti, e rimarrai stupito dall'atmosfera dorata della basilica. Passeggiando nel centro della città da un monumento all'altro.
Attraverseremo la piazza principale ammirando il palazzo del Comune e le colonne veneziane con le statue dei santi patroni.
Resterete sorpresi dalla torre medievale pendente a causa della subsidenza del suolo.

ABSOLUTE MUST DO - especially with CRISTIANA as your guide. She is extremely warm and friendly in addition to being exceptionally knowledgeable about all of the magnificent sights in Ravenna. This was our first time in Ravenna and Cristiana not only provided an exceptional tour experience she gave us a great deal of information about the culture and everyday life of Ravenna. Cristiano gabe us several recommendations for fantastic places to eat! Cristiano felt like a very good friend showing us around her home town and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! We walked at a comfortable pace, our guide Christiana went out of her way to meet us at the Bus Shuttle Terminal, she also pre purchased tickets to the 3 main Churches to which I reimbursed her, they were so beautiful just Amazing, the Mosaics were unbelievable, Christiana was so knowledgeable & spoke in detail about everything. I loved this tour. The only upsetting part is that I didn’t realise that I had to walk all the way back to the Bus Terminal on my own, I guess this was my bad for not having researched the address where we were being left, but managed to get back in time however I did find it extremely stressful as I had my 81 year old Mother with me. Loved the tour & all the Gorgeous Mosaics! Many Thanks

We had a wonderful time visiting the Mosaics. Our guide Christina was very informative with explaining all of the history. She even recommended a great place for lunch.
